TCCOM REPORT #28

REPORTING OFFICER: Fleet Admiral Plif, TIE Corps Commander
DATE SUBMITTED: 5 Apr 21
ACTIVE DUTY ROSTER COUNT: 154 (-1) Including 3 NPCs

NEWS

The roster is down one since last time as AWOLs and transfers to the Reserves slightly outnumbered the incoming pilots.

Speaking of the Reserves, it's time to give them a little more oversight over there on the Phoenix. What I'm creating is a new secondary position, Captain of the M/FRG Phoenix (CAPT), to reach out to the Reservists by email occasionally, touch base with the Reservists we have in Discord, keep an eye out for Reservists that are submitting pilot files and screenshots, and communicate any invalid email addresses we have for Reservists to me so that I can mark them Inactive. As a secondary position, this wouldn't require anyone to move from their current assignment. With the nature of working with Reservists, a group of veteran members with history behind them, I'd like to have someone for this role that's been with us a while and wants to contribute to the Corps in a way that's not taking command of a squadron other higher position. If you're interested, please let me know.

Squadron (Re)Mobilization kicked off since my last report, which was a while ago mostly because I got caught up in trying to compile and verify results. Four squadrons have already 11 tasks since the competition started on March 24th, congratulations to Lambda Squadron, Tempest Squadron, Avenger Squadron, and Sin Squadron. Avenger is a collection of all the TC and EH admirals, just a per-competition assignment we use when needed. The other 10 squadrons are all at various levels of completion, more information in #competitions on Discord.

A new logo for the TIE Corps was announced, see my message with the subject "Presenting the TIE Corps Logo" on the mailing list. A lot of folks put work into making that happen and we'll be recognizing them for those efforts soon.

TITLE HOLDERS

The Raise the Flag event each year confers three titles to recognize the top ship, squadron, and individual pilot from the competition. These are the current holders of those titles.

TIE Corps Flagship: ISDII Warrior

TCCOM's Escort Squadron: Rho

TCCOM's Wingman: GN Pickled Yoda

TCCOM'S COMPETITIONS

Squadron (Re)Mobilization is in progress, end date is May 24th. Updates being sent to #competitions in Discord.

TIE Corps in Battle is awaiting an update for March results and April assignments, look for that soon.

SP Ace of the TIE Corps is awarding the top three pilots on the SP Kill Board each month.

MP Ace of the TIE Corps is being reviewed since its results are a mirror for the COO's Star Wars Challenge.

COOP Ace of the TIE Corps is awarding the top three pilots on the Multiplayer Coop Kill Board each month, medals for January and February are very late but they're on their way.

The Trivia Grand Tour is in its sixth season. I'm emailing the mailing list separately with updates as well as posting in #competitions on Discord.

TCCOM'S AGENDA

  • TIE Corps Pilot Manual updates - Living document style, no big revisions that take a while to come out
  • Chatting with the IO about stuff we need or would like to see in the new database

  • Translating things discussed in officer meetings into proposals and changes
  • Processing uniform updates

PENDING:

  • Parsing RtF feedback to share with the leaders
  • The Commodore Volume 7
