SQUADRON NEWS

Welcome Thunder Pilots to this week's report!
I hope you all have had a great week! MSE's were submitted earlier this week. Unfortunately there just wasn't sufficient activity to grant an MSE to anyone. Thunder Trivia is back and just about all of you participated! That is actually great news. Heads up TIE Corps in Battle (TCiB) has returned and Last year we didn't really participate in it. This campaign is set up as a Single player. Assignments for February: TIE-TC #223, XvT-TC #48, and XWA-TC #42. Most of you responded to the Information / AWOL check that was sent out last week. I am happy to report that: Most of you have SWS. All of you seem to have at least TF though much also have XvT and XWA. A few have BF1 and or 2. Our squadron is extremely diverse. Time zones range from GMT +8 to -6. This will make any squadron based activities either impossible or at best extremely hard to pull off. Some of you have expressed a desire to see fiction based competitions. I am going to talk it over with the Admiral and see if I can at least arrange the flights based off of your time zones so as many of you as possible are arranged with someone close to your time zone. This should help with creating camaraderie as well as giving you someone to play MP with.

Thunder Trivia

One trivia question, for a total of four questions during the weekday - points awarded to all, and whoever has most points at the end of the week wins an IS-BR.

Every month, the highest scoring pilot wins an IS-SR, and every pilot with 40 points or more wins an extra IS-BR.

Additionally, there are incentive IS-BRs awarded at 50, 100, 250 and every further 250 points
TCIB TIE Corps in Battle:

One battle each from TIE, XvT, and XWA will be assigned monthly. Pilots will fly the battles and submit their pilot files through the database normally. The TCCOM receives a copy of all BSFs, so neither pilot files nor BSFs need to be forwarded to the TCCOM unless the submission gets queued in the database. In the case of a queued submission, send the pilot file to the TCCOM.

The pilot with the highest score each month in each platform will earn 8 points. The next highest score will earn 7, the next highest 6, then 5, then 4 and so on. All submissions will earn at least 3 points. Any mission high scores will earn 1 bonus point and any battle high scores will earn 2 bonus points. High scores are determined at the time the BSF was submitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, both pilots will receive the bonus points if a processed high score is overtaken later by another pilot. Points will accumulate for the season for more awards and the overall top pilot will also receive the title TIE Corps Battlemaster.

The points earned by each pilot will also be added to their squadron's total and their ship's total. At the end of the season, the participants from top three squadrons and the top ship earn awards.

Chalquilla Cup:

3v3 Multiplayer event using Star Wars Squadrons. Thunder squadron is being represented by yours truly.
