ISD WARRIOR WEEKLY REPORT #4

REPORTING OFFICER: Rear Admiral Zekk Terrik
DATE SUBMITTED: February 1 2021

FROM THE DESK OF THE COMMODORE

It's that time again! MSEs are already in process. Sin Squadron has finished theirs, thank you for being so prompt. And I woke up this morning to a whole slew of MoCs coming down the pipeline, and some submissions for Warriors Stand Together and Prank the COM. Great work guys, let's keep them coming!

WARRIOR ROSTER
  • The roster currently stands at 49 members. We lost CM Jack Wynand to the Reserves this week. Wish you luck, buddy.
  • FLEET NEWS
    • Make sure you catch episode 7 of The TIE Pilot Podcast at this link, where CM Jack Wynand and I discuss the early history of the EH with SA Maverick, including covering his time on the board and High Court of Inquisitors. I'm currently taking a creative break from the process to deal with some heavy RL stuff, solicit new ideas, and find a new cohost.
    • Led by COL Mordechi Wolfe of Sin Squadron, we have progressed to Phase II of Project Sovereign.
    • CM Robert Hogan has initiated a proposal to add some commendations (citations?) and to clarify the MoC within TTT a little bit, stay tuned for details!
    • A new version of Flight Wings has been introduced to combine the PVP, PVE, and SP ladders under one banner that collectively equals 5000 points. This is already live on the website and in TTT2.
    • The Chalquila Cup is underway, with some preliminary matches underway!
    SHIP NEWS
    • Congratulations to LCM Reyla Setsune on a VERY overdue promotion.
    SHIP COMPETITIONS

  • Prank the COM - It is common practice prank a new pilot or a new commander...but what about a new Commodore? What sort of pranks are the pilots of Wing II going to play on their new Commodore? Dianoga in the refresher? Kowakian monkey lizard in the bed? Ordering Hutt ladies to welcome their new Commodore?

Turn in a new fiction of at least 200 words to qualify! Please email it directly to zekkterrik@gmail.com.

For those pilots that are NOT native English speakers, punctuation and spelling are not going be to graded, so don't worry. If you speak Spanish (looking at you, MAJ Hermann!), I am a fluent Spanish speaker, so have at it!

  • Warriors Stand Together - We will show the rest of the TIE Corps why we are the flagship - because Warriors stand together. We stand strong in our bonds of teamwork and camaraderie.

Let's show them our teamwork! From now until the end of February, earn points by flying with other Warrior pilots. Any Star Conflict match with another Warrior pilot is worth 1 point per match. Any XvT, XWA, BF2, or Squadrons game with another Warrior pilot is worth 2 points per match.

Earn multipliers by playing with other pilots. Example: if you play with at least one other pilot during the competition, your multiplier is x1 (this gets you on the scoreboard). At least two other pilots, x2. At least three others, x3. And so on. If you play against each other, the losing pilot will still have their multiplier increased, but they will not be awarded their 1 or 2 points.

To participate in the competition, send your screens directly to zekkterrik@gmail.com. And yes, playing with your beloved COM can increase your multiplier. ;)

  • FLEET COMPETITIONS

Here’s some fleet-wide competitions currently going on:

  • SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021

  • Every Single Player mission flown earns the pilot a point on the Kill Board and the top three pilots at the end of the month earn medals. Yearly, the top four pilots earn medals.

Each mission only counts once for the year, but missions flown in previous years can be reflown for points on the Kill Board (but not additional FCHG points). The Kill Board statistics on the TIE Corps website are final. IS-GW/SW/BW for top 3 monthly, at the end of the year the top 4 pilots win IS-PW/GW/SW/BW. The top pilot at the end of the year also receives the title of SP Ace of the TIE Corps 2021.

  • February COO Objective Scramble: The Wingman

  • Pilots,

There will be a rotating COO Objective each month for a chosen platform and goal. This month is gathering the most assists in Star Wars Squadrons in Dogfight or Fleet Battles (PvP or PvE) modes.

Objective: Submit your highest assist game in Dogfight, Fleet Battles or Fleet Battles vs AI mode flown between February 1, 2021 (0:00 GMT) and February 28, 2021 (Must be submitted no later than 23:59 GMT) by e-mail to tc-combat-ops-office@googlegroups.com The COO and COOAs will have access to these submissions and place them in an online tally. At the end of the month, the top three pilots will be determined and be given awards. In the case of a tie score, the determining factor is which pilot had the least deaths. If for some reason the assist and death counts are tied, then score will be the determining factor.

To encourage further participation, each winning pilot per month will be given a rating of 3 points at maximum, scalable to 2 or 1 if less than 3 pilots participate a month. The top three pilots at the end of the year will attain the annual awards.

  • COO's Star Wars Challenge Episode VII - 2021

  • Pilots,

Welcome to the 2021 refresh of the COO's Star Wars Challenge.

Platforms Involved: X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, X-Wing Alliance, Squadrons.

Objective: Accumulate the most missions in a Star Wars branded approved multiplayer platform. You may submit PvP battles (Legion of Combat) or PvE battles (Legion of Skirmish). You have from 00:00 GMT on the first day of the month to begin and your submissions must be approved by the Combat Operations Office no later than 23:59 GMT on the last day of the month.

At the end of the month the totals will be tallied for each pilot's LoC and LoS scores and totaled into a sum. The top three scoring pilots will receive the respectively monthly reward based on ranking.

There will also be an ongoing annual ranking so you are encouraged to continue participation. The top pilot will be given 3 points for that month towards that ranking, reduced to 2 or 1 if there are less than 3 pilots participating each month. At the end of the year, the top three pilots overall will receive the annual awards.

  • Squadrons Completionist

Given the current set of achievements in the game of Squadrons, a race for the entire TC on who will complete all the achievements of the game first. Any new achievements that will be added after Oct 2020 do not need to be completed.

    Art creation competitions:

  • The ISD Warrior Needs a New Banner! - The ISD Warrior needs a new banner! Not looking for anything specific, as long as the Warrior and our many RtF victories are prominently featured! Shoot it over to zekkterrik@gmail.com.

  • Pimp my TIE! - Create a graphic externally and internally of a TIE. Can be any type of TIE fighter (as long as it exists in Legends or Canon). Drawings can also be with pencil. Pimp it up in your own creative way

  • Stay In The Lines - Each week (or most weeks), LCM Neko will post art in the Tempest WSR. Choose your favorite and color it in however you want - crayons, watercolors, pastels, or anything - and email it to Silwar Naiilo (#12630) by the last day of the month. Neko will choose her favorite and the runners-up.

  • Beta Squadron Banner - A new year, a new banner!

With the new year, I'd like to see a new banner for Beta Squadron, as the current one is a bit updated in my taste. IS-SR or IS-BR for the winner, depending on the number of entries.

There's not a lot of requirements, as long as it's good looking and represents Beta squadron.
