LAMBDA SQUADRON NEWS

We barely finished breaking out the champagne for LT Slade Carroll and we already have our 12th and latest Lambda flight member. Welcome officially to Lambda Squadron SL Physics! Given your startling bio, we expect you to be terrorizing Rebel scum in no time.

The 12th Lambda's Star Wars Trivia is now out. Remember that the pilot with the fastest time also earns +1 point.

With the end of the year, several Lambda competitions have ended. This will give our squadron focus! Worry not, if your favourite competition has been pulled, we can discuss on discord and decide for more fun competitions in the future!

November's Medals will soon be out, based on our activity and service to the Emperor's Hammer. Will tie in nicely with Christmas. What is Christmas you say? A long time from now, in a Galaxy far far away...

COMPETITIONS AND EVENTS

Current Lambda Squadron Competitions:

Know your sheep from your wolves - Trivia: The 12th week of trivia has started: Week 12 (20th Dec - 27th Dec 2020)
Spot the Error!: Every week, the Lambda Squadron Weekly Report will have intentional errors. Can you find them? Unintended errors will also win you points.
Lambda University (IWATS): The way to a healthy life is to nurture both our bodies and our minds.
Lambda executes Emperor Hammer Directive: Every month, one TIE Fighter, XvT, and XWA battle will be selected each month for Lambda to complete.

December's TC Battles Assignment:
The Lambda Saga: Write up fiction relating to Lambda and its pilots (past, present and future). It can include other squadrons and the Emperor's Hammer itself.

Hammer Competitions:

Hammer pilot of the month - 2020: For every flown SP mission from the TC mission compendium and for every LoC/LoS earned each pilot receives 1 point for the Hammer pilot of the month competition.
Trivia for the Hammered: One trivia question every weekday, sent via email. Who is the fastest on the buzzer!?

TIE Corps Competitions:

Squadrons Completionist: A race for the entire TC on who will complete all the achievements of the Squadrons game first.
TC PvP Shootout: Organized by AD Miles, COL Horus and CM EvilGrin. On every Saturday, starting at 22:00 GMT, a PvP shootout will take place.
Everyone's a Critic: Flown a battle? Write a USEFUL review!
TIE Corps in Battle 2020: Every month, there will be a full battle assigned to fly, from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT, XWA).

Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Lambdas, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under 'Units Involved' it must be listed as 'Entire TC', 'ISD-II Hammer', 'Wing I' or 'Lambda Squadron'.

CLOSING COMMENTS

So, I tried putting some beetroot juice into my TIE as fuel. I figured if we all like this so much, so will my TIE. On my next recon run, the engine started to make some funny noises and I got... stranded. I must have got the dosage wrong. Thankfully, LCM Shub was able to tow me back to the Hammer using a Lambda Shuttle.

While I waited in my TIE stranded in space, I attempted to change the report to CSS, but without much success yet. Stay tuned.
