| Stryker
pounded the simulator console in frustration; the squad-level Pilot vs
Pilot and Pilot vs Environment scenarios had gone rather well for
Firebird's pilots, but the Solo Pilot exercises were still something
they needed to work on. One TIE Defender against one hundred and twenty
TIE Fighters and a Platform had been the order of the day, proof that
either High Admiral Dempsey or Colonel Denys was a sadist at heart;
only Major Jedgar had so far completed the challenge, while Stryker and
Colonel NiksaVel had both tried and failed multiple times. As he exited the simulator and dried his face with a towel, Stryker sighed; at least his competitor squadrons seemed to have the same issue judging by the status report that Denys had posted the night before. If Tempest was going to stage an upset, that was how they managed it; he'd have to get back to work, and find some way of coercing his pilots to do the same... |

| We
have a commanding lead for the Challenge competition, but with three
days left it's still all to play for! If you haven't at least participated in the
Trivia or Web Game, ask yourself why; they don't take long, definitely
not as long as the SP or MP competitions. MSE time is right around the corner; many of you are on the cusp of getting medals/getting medal upgrades, so make sure you get that activity recorded so we can be as awesome as we were last month! Next month I will (with COO permission) be reinstating the Echelon Guardian Title; in essence this will be our Pilot of the Month, but more closely linked with our IW roots and something that, should we ever rise to Wing status again, will promote inter-squadron competition in the future. |

of last Sunday, we now have a 100pt+ lead over Tempest in High Admiral
Dempsey's competition; if we don't all just decide to retire tonight,
we should have it in the bag but I want people refining their scores;
Tempest staged a major upset and prevented a fully Warrior podium in
RtF and I don't want to see that happening again! Once again, MSEs are on the horizon! Get that acitivity recorded ASAP so you don't miss out on shinies! COL Stryker |
