Welcome to this week's report, pilots. The big news is that the TIE Defender is coming to Squadrons! Yes, we brave members of Rho Squadron know that real Imperial pilots fly without shields, but I must admit I'm excited to see the Defender enter the fray. The rebels will get their chance to fly the B-wing, and I can't wait to start shooting those into the Zavian Abyss.

The Defender was my favorite ship when I first played TIE Fighter in the '90s, and I was very happy to see it return to canon in Rebels. I don't think I'll be giving up my TIE/IN in Squadrons, but I'll be sure to put the Defender through its paces. The TIE Defender has its champions—GA Ronin said it's his favorite fighter—and it'll be interesting to see how it changes the gameplay dynamics in Squadrons.

That made me wonder: What's a fighter that you'd like to see in Squadrons, pilots?

Last week's Rho MP event was fun, even if we did get thrashed by some sweaty teams—just don't ask me to name any Faulkner novels. I always get excited seeing all those familiar Rho names in the Warrior voice chat, even if I'm still learning to tell your voices apart. Now that I think about it, I think I do have it down.
