Denys Elara sat at her desk aboard the ISD-II Challenge, staring at her datapad. So many decisions needed to be made today. The time had come for the ships's next status update for the Command Staff, and yet the Commodore had not yet returned. Elara remembered the fury in the eyes of Colonel Stryker as he had seen one of his precious X-wings disappear into the darkness of space, destination unknown. Fortunately, she'd been able to calm him down a bit, and news of the Commodore's absence was still limited to only a handful.
Yet She knew this had happened nefore. She'd hoped Depnsey would have returned in a few days, but it seemed she was out of luck. And with no idea what her Commodore was doing, or where, or why, she felt a
little frustrated. Not to mentioned scared at having to face Admiral Plif and explain the situation. No, best to keep it under wraps for as long as possible.
Pilots of the ISD-II Challenge, Fleet Admiral Plif, this week there will be no report by High Admiral Dempsey as she has tasked me to do so. I'll keep it short and to the point.
First off, hangar bay 3 is closed to all personnel without authorization for the next few weeks. As you may have noticed, a second Alphabet squadron is about to be opened up, and their fighters will be arriving soon, after which they will get a complete service check. If you're interested in a transfer to this new squadron, send a message to HA Dempsey and the squadron's Commander-to-be, MAJ Talon Jade.
With GN Berkana's promotion to Rear Admiral and taking the COM of the ISD-II Hammer, we're in need of a new commander for Thunder squadron. Applications will be closed shortly, so get them in fast if you're interested. Send a message to both HA Dempsey and the TCCOM. With his departure however, we also lost the Trivia for the Challenged competition as GN Phoenix was running that. The good news there is the competition will resume immediately under the management of COL Stryker. Excellent move, Colonel!
The results of last month's Ship Evaluations are starting to come in. The first batch of medals has come in, so congratulations to the Tempest pilots who were on the receiving end.
Fortunately, the Commodore has given me all I need to continue with the competitions set out by her for this ship, so do remember to check below. For some reason, only a single multi-player screenshot was sent in. That's a lot of points missed out on!
We also welcome GN Elwood the Brave aboard our ship, after he said goodbye to the Hammer. I haven't personally met the General yet, but I've heard some good stories! He joins Firebird. The COM won't like it too much though, as this pretty much destroys her in the MP COOP competition...
As busy as pilots and Commanders can be, COL Silwar Naiilo has still found time to join the COO Staff. Let's hope he knows what he's in for, with the amount of LoC and LoS being submitted these days....
LT Neko was promoted to LCM this week, after racking in some flying hours, and earning a PC, which is always good to see. SL Synapse was promoted to lieutenant earlier this week for updating his INPR, so he's off to a good start as well.

Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!

Challenge Pilot of the Month
One point per mission flown for the SP part of this competition, and 1 point per LoC/LoS for the MP parts of this competition. Stats will be taken from the killboards. As of this month, the PvP and PvE parts will be split.

Wake me up when November ends
This is the big Challenge wide competition of the year. Every week we will play 4 games: Flying (Single player and Multiplayer), Movie quote trivia, Image trivia and an online game. The trivia will be played via the Timed Events option on the TC website. Screenshots for Multiplayer and online games need to be emailed to me, and for the Single player competition you can simply forward me the BSF email. Each week starts at the release of my COM report on Sunday, and ends the next Saturday at midnight CET. There is also a 5th game: Fiction. Each pilot can submit upto 3 fictions to participate, but only one fiction will be taken into consideration for the rankings (unless the total of fictions received is less than 5). For every game, each week the top 10 pilots will be awarded points: from 1st to 10th place you will earn 20, 16, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 points. With exception to the Fiction, which will only yield points at the end of the month, and for the top 5 fictions: 20, 15, 10, 5, 3 points.
Each week, every game will see its winner, with the top 2 pilots for that week earning Iron Stars (Silver and Bronze Wings/Ribbons). At the end of the competition, pilot scores will be tallied per game over all 4 weeks and the top 3 pilots win (Gold/Silver/Bronze Wings/Ribbons). The scores for each pilot will also be tallied over all submissions during the entire month, with another (Gold/Silver/Bronze Wings/Ribbons) up for grabs. There's an extra medal to be had if a single pilot manages to grab the win in 2 games, and one if a pilot manages to grab the win in 3 games. As an extra bonus, there's two more medals available: the pilot who has the highest score wins his Commander and IS-SR, while the squadrons that accumulates most points over all pilots wins its Commander an IS-GR.

| Musings of a madman | This is not a weekly game, but this will run the entire month. Write a fiction. It can be about whatever you want it to be, feature whatever you want, and can be as long as short as you want, with any writing style you desire. The only stipulation is that somehowb it has ot feature the Challenge or one of its pilots. All submissions will be submitted to the Warden's Office at the end of the competition. You can submit up to three fictions per pilot, but each pilot is eligible for only one medal, and one set of points. If there's less than 5 pilots submitting, this last stipulation is rescinded. |

Week 2 is done. The MP event this week wasn't the best it seems, with only a single entry. The quotes were obviously too easy, with more than half the participants getting all 10 coirrect. Firebird's lead of last week remains, but Tempest is closing in fast!
