The Emperor's Hammer is doing great in Squadrons. Most of the games both on Dogfighting and Fleets are wins. In mixed groups, EH pilots are usually on the top half of the scoreboard. Some sel-findulging for sure, but congrats to all the pilots.

The second week of Star Wars Trivia! starts on Monday, more about the results of the first week as well as the Spot the Error! in the competitions section below.

Lambda got flamed somewhat in the discord chat, due to a ... speech impediment. I can now reveal it was part of a Lambda competition. We had to talk like Yoda across the discord channels. There was a bit of a backlash though, so I cancelled it prematurely. Still, will award the weekly winner for the first (and last) week of the Talk I can competition.

One other thing, I meant to say in the Radio Broadcast, but forgot to, so will say it here. Those interested should apply for a COOA position. Its role? The ones who review and approve our MP (LoC/LoS) submissions. So if you are interested talk to AD Miles and be sure to sit the relevant COOA test.

SL Voron Castor formely known as Bigfoot on discord, has joined Lambda as replacement to Travis. However, he is already MIA! Looks like he lived up to his nickname. Is he a myth? Is he a legend? He is Bigfoot!

We had our first meeting today! Starting from the 25th Oct, we will have our first team event. Sunday 25th Oct, 20:00 - 22:00 GMT, we will have our first Lambda Squadrons MP Event!

Every week, I try to bring you an interview with one of our Lambda Squad members. This week, our focus is on Cornelia, the sheep. Our squadron mascot.

Genie: Don't worry. I made a deal with a merchant for a steady supply of hay, in exchange for some bootleg Zekks on the Beach.

Cornelia: Baa. Baa, baa.

Genie: What!? How do YOU know what really happened to Daedalus!? Next thing you'll tell me is, that you know what happened with the second Death Star and Emperor Palpatine. No, don't answer that!

Spot the Error!: Every week, the Lambda Squadron Weekly Report will have a purposeful error. Can you find it? Unintended errors will also win you points!

Hammer Competitions:
Hammer pilot of the month - 2020: For every flown SP mission from the TC mission compendium and for every LoC/LoS earned each pilot receives 1 point for the Hammer pilot of the month competition.

TIE Corps Competitions:
Shakespearean-esque lyrics for modern songs: Organized by Talons Pryde. Identify the song title and artist from the alternate wording for either the title of a set of lyrics.
Cryp-TAC: Every time there's a new TAC report (sent by PickledYoda), it will contain at least one (but maybe several) cryptic clues related to the EHTC or Star Wars.

I've now flown enough of Squadrons to get the hang of it. It is important to customize the controls to your personal taste. Once that is done, you are able to focus on what is going on in battle. I strongly recommend to find a way to handle speed on the keyboard. Most fellow EHers have set it on the keyboard on 50% increments (0-50-100). I favour one additional fraction and thus have split mine into 25% increments (0-25-50-75-100). I am also not using the gradual power management, only the max shortcuts and the balanced (reset) option. Enjoy the week everyone!
