Inferno PatchINFERNO SQUADRON NEWSInferno Patch

Welcome all to my first report as CMDR of Inferno, six days in and it's all been a bit of a whirlwind. I'd like to start by thanking CPT Drake for his stewardship of the squadron to date, taking Inferno from the ashes and forging the foundations through the flames.

Our ranks are full at the moment, but overall activity is very low. I intend to remedy this, and I'm hoping that this will be largely fixed with the advent of the exciting new platform that is Squadrons. 4 days to go! We've registered the lowest squadron score in RtF which while disappointing, I believe that adversity breeds opportunity and from the flames of the Inferno, our heat will rise.

Formal introductions have been sent out to all FMs and FLs, along with a questionnaire - I've had 5 out of 11 responses so far and to be fair I asked for a tight deadline which has now passed, I'll be following all of these up individually.

This week is Squadrons week, it's finally almost here - and I'll be very focused in the next few days on preparations for our squadron and the TC as a whole for this new platform. I'll be there on launch day's evening front and center - initially plowing through SP, then hitting that practice and placement grind for fleet battles. I'll be loitering in hangar chat and voice on and off through this time too, reach out to me for some games, and likewise I'll be organising regular events and competitions for this going forward.

Now to round off with a few very big thank you's - COL Doyon, CM Genie, LC Alejandro, COL Silwar, the TCCS and my colleagues in the COO's office to name but a few - you've all been incredibly supportive right from the start, from the initial welcome I received into EH to my assignment as COOA, I also really landed on my feet joining as fine a squad as Beta, I very much appreciate all the coaching and advice given and hope to continue breeding that excellence. Having been given a peek behind the curtain in my role as COOA I can wholeheartedly say that monumental group effort is put in to make the TC as wonderful place to be as it is.

Inferno Patch Furthermore, on the thank you list, I've been told that we have COL Hav to thank for our very fancy shiny Inferno Squadron Patch and colour scheme (see left) and COL Silwar for the amazing banner up top!

Inferno PatchCOMPETITIONS AND EVENTSInferno Patch

Inferno Squadron Competitions:
Wielder of the Inferno: To be named the best pilot of the month over here at Inferno, you have to compete on all platforms, pvp, pve, and single player. Winner will be the 'Wielder' of Inferno, the symbolic representation of our pride and fearlessness.

Challenge Competitions:
Challenge Pilot of the month (SP/MP): One point per mission flown for the SP part of this competition, and 1 point per LoC/LoS for the MP part of this competition. Stats will be taken from the killboards.
Trivia for the Challenged: One trivia question every weekday - points awarded to all, and whoever has most points at the end of the week wins an IS-BR. Every month, the highest scoring pilot wins an IS-SR, and every pilot with 40 points or more wins an extra IS-BR.
Dempsey's Weekly Screenshots: Every week, the report will have a screenshot. Not necessaarily from a Star Wars movie. First Challenge pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins.

Inferno PatchCLOSING COMMENTSInferno Patch

It has been an absolute whirlwind of a week, and I expect nothing less from this week with Squadrons forthcoming this Friday! Inferno'll be making a huge push into activity, and anyone who can't keep up will be burned by the flames! Finally - big shoutout to CM Genie and COL Silwar for helping me out with this WSR template, your help has been totally invaluable! Has been a very short turnaround for this report, so will hopefully be able to put more meat on the bones as the weeks go by!
