Dempsey sat in her chair on the bridge of the mighty ISD-II Challenge. Her warship was at battle readiness now, after quite a few delays.

Well, it would be, assuming the blasted techs could figure out why the hyperdrive wasn't working.

Again.

Her Wing Commander walked up the the deck, and handed the Admiral a datapad. Dempsey quickly scrolled through it. Medal recommendations, promotion recommendations. More medal recommendations.
'I assume you've checked these over?' she asked.
LC Denys Elara nodded. 'All approved then,' Dempsey said. 'Any idea what's keeping the hyperdrive?'
The Wing Commander gulped, almost inaudibly, but Dempsey caught it anyway. All of a sudden, she could sense trepidation. She glanced up.
'Apparantly, sir, it's Gremlins.' Dempsey felt her eyes grow. 'Not my words, sir, that's exactly what the Chief Engineer told me.'
Dempsey nearly exploded. 'Gremlins? Are you sure that incompetent fool isn't on the Warrior's payroll to keep us from winning these war games?'
'I had entertained such thoughts, but he's clean.'
Dempsey stood up and stalked off. 'Maybe I should convince him myself that there's no such things as gremlins.' The Wing Commander watched the Admiral enter the turbolift and disappear from the bridge. Boy, was she in for a surprise. There's no such things as gremlins, sure. But then what the Sith is it that was crawling around the hyperdrive in the dozens....

Well, it's been an interesting week. RtF continues and we're not doing that bad. We have a solid lead over the Hammer, we have one squadron in the top 3 and 2 pilots in the top 3.

On the ship site of things, there's been a change in command in Tempest squadron, as COL Silwar Naiilo has taken over from GN Polo. Let's see what good things will happen there!

Unfortunately, my own performance isn't as good as I would have wanted to. For now, my goal is to reach 300 points this year. Which isn't much compared to the 1200+ I had a few years ago, but it's still better than the past 3 years. I'm getting too old for this :)

With that,. it's been a pretty quiet week without too many things to report on. We have 10 more days in RtF, so let's see what we can do.
