OVERVIEW

Raise the Flag 2020 is upon us. The first 12 days are done, 2 bonus comps are running, one is finished. The Hammer isn't doing that bad, compared to former RtF incarnations. Nearly 1.1 k points within 12 days isn't that bad compared to other years. The problem is, the Top 4 squadrons, all 4 not from the Hammer, each have more points than the Hammer so far! The actual leader of RtF, CPT Hermann from Tempest Squadron, has more points than we do as a ship! That makes the 1.1 k RtF points we accumulated as a ship thus far look DAMN bad, even if those aren't that bad! We still have about 19 days left to show that we're still there and still fighting for it. A good way to show up in, is participating in the bonus competitions. The fiction bonus comp is allready finished, but right now the Puzzle bonus comp is still running (go finish the Puzzle at https://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=0dba17c931a4 and send a mail with the screenshot of your finishing time to TCCOM@emperorshammer.org) until Monday, 14th, midnight GMT. The MP bonus competition is life until Friday, 18th, midnight GMT (details at Raise the Flag Bonus Competition #3: Multiplayer). The TIE Pilot Podcast has its 3rd Episode launch this week. Go check it out at youtube. With the last week announced LoS rule changes in effect, all SC vs AI matches would have been disquallified for LoS, as those most of the time last less then 5 minutes. To prevent this from happening, the COO clarified that SC is an exception for this new rule, as its matches/matchtimes run through matchmaking and are not to be influenced by the pilot in any way before the match. So all SC matches that were eligible for an LoS before the rule changes remain LoS eligible after the rules changes. Now on to the biggest news for this report. The Hammer has a new squadron. With all squadron within the fleet at 11, most of them even at full 12 pilots, Lambda squadron has been (re)opened aboard the Hammer, with CM Genie as its CMDR! A whole bunch of pilots, new recruits and returning vets, allready joined CM Genie in the Lambda quaters. All that's missing now are the 2 Flight Leaders, but I am sure CM Genie will find fitting candidates for those 2 slots pretty easy. Congratulations on your assignment, CM Genie, and welcome aboard to you and to all new Lambda pilots! You come just in time to give us a hand in turning the tide for RtF! LT EvilGrin of Beta has been promoted to Lieutenant Commander. Congratulations! A new Epsilon Flight 3 Flight Leader has been found. Congratulations on your new assignment LT Rin Jaeger. This is just the first step on the ladder of the leadership ranks in the TIE Corps. I'm sure you'll do a great job! And Congratulations on your recently recieved Commendation of Bravery! The August MShipE for the Hammer is well underway and a good bunch of medals have allready been handed out. Congratulations to COL Gyssler on his Bronze Star, COL Doyon and CM Skyshadow on their Palpatine Crescents, and to LC Alejandro Araujo, CM Witcher and LT Rin Jaeger on their Imperial Security Medals. Well deserved! I'm sure the remaining Hammer MShipE medals will come soon!
