SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER | ||||||||||||
Welcome to this week's report, pilots. The big news this week is that SL Lo Mar has joined us as Rho 2. Welcome to Skid Rho, Sub-Lieutenant! We're happy to have you as part of the squad. We also had two promotions this week. LT acetiepilot was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and SL ERiSi was promoted to Lieutenant. Congrats, LCM acetiepilot and LT ERiSi! Drinks are on these two in the Warrior's cantina this week. Cheers! This week also saw three of our pilots (LT Neko, LT Kitsune, and LT Iam Thinking) transfer to Tempest Squadron. Their time here was brief, but we were happy to have them here. We wish them success aboard the Challenge. Which reminds me, my former CMDR, GN Dunta Polo, was selected to lead the newest squadron aboard the Challenge. This marks the fourth squadron that the General has commanded on as many different ships (including the MC-80b Redemption). Impressive! |

PROJECT 660 | ||||||||||||
I'm proud to announce the start of a new squadron competition: Project 660. As I mentioned in last week's report, I was talking with some of Rho's finest on our Telegram channel, and the topic of Squadron Citations came up. A squadron earns a citation if 50% of its pilots have flown the same custom battle for TIE Fighter, XvT, XWA, BoP, or X-Wing. As a new squadron, Rho has zero Squadron Citations. However, we're pretty close on a few of them. I created the Project 660 competition (named for the number of custom battles in the compendium and thus the maximum number of Squadron Citations) so that we can focus on the battles together and earn some Squadron Citations. I select the battles based on the following criteria.
For the month, I will select three battles (one for each classic platform). You'll earn one point for every battle BSF you submit, plus the following bonus points for each platform every month.
Currently, Project 660 is planned for July only. If you like it, I'll be happy to keep it running in August and beyond, so be sure to let me know what you think.

CLOSING COMMENTS | ||||||||||||
We've been discussing our Raise the Flag (RtF) preparations on Discord. I won't share them here—prying eyes, etc.—but I like our plan. There are a little less than two weeks to fly the TIE Corps in Battle missions for July. Last month, Rho led the TIE Corps in participation. I'd like that to continue this month. As promised, I'll fly the missions, too. Consider TCiB priority #1 at the moment, pilots. Get out there and show 'em who the bad guys are. COL Hav Antiel |
