ISDII WARRIOR REPORT #45

REPORTING OFFICER: Admiral Hav Antiel, Commodore
DATE SUBMITTED: 14 April 2020

LETTER FROM THE WARCOM

Pilots of the mighty Warrior,

I received my promotion to full Admiral this week, and Pete and Plif's kind words and the well wishes of those throughout the TIE Corps meant a lot to me. I've been thinking for some time about what would be next after my turn at the helm of the Warrior. With Pete returning to Kappa and Plif stepping up as TCCOM, more than a few people have asked if I had my eye on SOO.

I'll say to you what I said to them: COM is as high as I'd like to climb in the TC leadership ladder. It takes great ideas to lead this group, and I believe the TIE Corps is in good hands with FA Plif, but I just don't have the kind of big-picture ideas that the TC needs right now. But a change in command and a promotion makes an officer take stock of his future, and a fortuitous opportunity arrived that aligned with something I had been thinking about for some time.

This is a good time for the Warrior and her crew. FA Plif announced that we'll be opening a new squadron, and I have volunteered to lead that squadron. As much as I enjoy being your WarCOM, I miss the direct connection I had with my pilots as CMDR of Sin Squadron. I also miss being a pilot, having a squadron patch on my arm, and seeing the battle from that familiar perspective of an octagonal cockpit viewscreen. I'm also excited about bringing a new (old) squadron into the fray.

It has been my honor to serve as your Commodore. I'm proud to see my name listed among the other great men who have led this ship: Frodo March, Plif, Hawkins, Len Eode, Pete Mitchell, and Plif (again). Although I was unable to defend her title as Flagship of the TIE Corps, I am still proud of the Warrior and the pilots, crew, and officers who make her such a great ship. I'm proud of the great things we've accomplished together. I'm proud to continue my adventure on the Warrior, and I'll be fighting like hell to bring that title back.

The only way forward is through.
