SOO REPORT #77

REPORTING OFFICER: Fleet Admiral Plif, Strategic Operations Officer
DATE SUBMITTED: 7 Apr 20

NEWS

You might have heard that FA Pete Mitchell announced his retirement as the TIE Corps Commander effective April 11th. After a series of outstanding tours of duty as Commodore of the Warrior, Strategic Operations Officer, and then TCCOM, he’ll be returning to Kappa Squadron. He’s keeping his wings, so this is surely not the end of his story. Still, the Challenge won’t feel like the same ship without him aboard.

As we prepare for the change of command, I’m interested in speaking with whoever would like to be a leader at any level in the TIE Corps. There’s going to be a few roster changes, as you might imagine, and while we won’t be having those conversations just yet I’d like to start getting an idea of who’s interested in being met with.

The March evaluations are well underway with the CMDRs, COMs, and the COO all having acted swiftly early in the month. I’ve got the majority of the evaluations reviewed and many of the recommended medals have been awarded, looking forward to completing the rest this week.

Squadron (Re)Mobilization has a little under 23 days left to go. Two squadrons have 5 tasks complete and great progress on more, great job! I gave Sin the edge for first place in this update since their incomplete tasks are generally closer to being done. With CM Charlie X moving from Delta to Theta mid-event, what I decided to do was to copy his contributions from Delta to Theta so that nobody's penalized for him moving; his future points will all count for just Theta. Also, I'm counting myself as a member of Kappa since I'm acting as their CMDR right now, which only helps so much because I've been playing MP while VA Hav Antiel and LT BATUTA1 have been playing SP.

The Trivia Grand Tour is in its fifth season. Congratulations the winner of Week Eight! Week Nine can be found on http://tc.emperorshammer.org/timetest.php?testid=450820.

You know, I’m not exactly sure when we should start talking about spoilers for Episode IX or The Mandalorian openly, but we’d like any spoiler discussions to take place in the Telegram channel we’ve set aside for anyone who’s ready to chat about the latest things happening in the Star Wars Universe. To join up, ask about the spoiler chat in the TIE Corps Discussion group and one of us will send you an invite.

If you complete a new Imperial University course, you'll notice that your EH database profile gets updated automatically but not your TC database profile. The latter are updated manually by me and the TCCOM, please give us a couple of days after your test is graded for the new course to appear in your TC profile before you email us about it.

AWARDS
GN Anahorn Dempsey
Through no fault of her own, our Fleet Systems Engineer has to deal with every time the database does something we didn't expect and all of us act like the site's on fire. With great care and grace, GN Dempsey takes our worried descriptions, acts on them, and reports back with just the right amount of detail. For her unwavering resolve in the face of adversity, the TCCOM and I hereby award GN Dempsey the Gold Star of the Empire.
