SOO REPORT #70

REPORTING OFFICER: Fleet Admiral Plif, Strategic Operations Officer
DATE SUBMITTED: 17 Feb 20

NEWS

I’ve asked the COMs and CMDRs to go back and look for merit medals approved during the evaluation process that never actually made it to the pilot’s profile for whatever reason, and the first couple of missed medals have already been awarded. We’ve got a better tracking system for this now in order to prevent missed medals, but I think it’s definitely worth the time to go back and look for anything we missed prior to the new tracking method.

I set out to get Squadron (Re)Mobilization up and running last week, but I realized that I want to workshop the two new tasks and the tweaks to the original tasks with leadership. New target is a March and April two-month competition.

The Trivia Grand Tour is back and Week One was pretty strong with 13 participants. Congratulations the winner of Week One, AD Miles Prower! Week Two can be found on https://tc.emperorshammer.org/timetest.php?testid=182933.

With Episode IX not on disc yet and The Mandalorian having concluded its first season, we’d like any spoiler discussions to take place in the Telegram channel we’ve set aside for anyone who’s ready to chat about the latest things happening in the Star Wars Universe. To join up, ask about the spoiler chat in the TIE Corps Discussion group and one of us will send you an invite.

If you complete a new Imperial University course, you'll notice that your EH database profile gets updated automatically but not your TC database profile. The latter are updated manually by me and the TCCOM, please give us a couple of days after your test is graded for the new course to appear in your TC profile before you email us about it.

AWARDS
GN Anahorn Dempsey
From COM/AD Miles Prower:
For exceptional flight and communications performance, I hereby endorse General Anahorn Dempsey for the Gold Star of the Empire for the period of January 2020. A spectacular performance from one of Delta Squadron's best!

From CMDR/MAJ Alejandro Araujo:
Demps deserves this for all the dedication, passion and cosistent activity. A real honor to be serving with such a fine officer.

From CMDR/GN Phoenix Berkana:
#awesome. Seriously though, that was some stupendous flying.

From SOO/FA Plif:
Churning out 590 co-op missions in Star Conflict shows some real dedication to piloting excellence and that particular IS-GW from MP Co-Op Ace of the TIE Corps probably feels really nice. There was even a dash of PvP and SP mixed in, reflecting how well-rounded a pilot GN Dempsey continues to be. With several consecutive months of Silver Star level performance noted in recent evaluations, we’ve decided to kick it up a notch this month and recognize GN Dempsey with the Gold Star of the Empire. Congratulations!

RA John T. Clark
RA John T. Clark continues to be one of the most active pilots in the TIE Corps in addition to his excellent work as the COO with 334 mission victories in January alone, plus a variety of competition awards. Clark's been performing at the Silver Star level for a few months in a row over the course of the last few evaluations, so the TCCOM and I have agreed that it's time to recognize RA Clark with the Gold Star of the Empire. Congratulations!

LC Zekk Terrik
LC Zekk Terrik started 2020 off with a bang, flying 89 SP missions and earning 106 LoSs and a couple of Iron Stars. He led Sin Squadron by example with 4 WSRs and 3 competitions, including a new trivia comp that has proven successful among Sinners. For this level of activity (plus some bug reports, uniform uploads, IWATS courses, and other stuff that a COM hopes to see from his CMDRs), I recommend the Silver Star of the Empire.
