THETA SQUADRON REPORT
THETA CMDR: GN Jarek La'an
REPORT DATE: 2 Oct 19
Squadron Review
Welcome all to what appears to be my 4th tenure as Theta CMDR, albeit a potentially brief one while I sit in the less comfortable chair for the weeks or months it may take to find a long term successor. Regardless, I'll remain as long as required - so we could be here for some time.

I'm going to start by addressing the changes in the roster that have taken place in the last few weeks, as well as summarising performance in the recent Raise the Flag. In short, all good things come to an end and, after 5 years of unbroken wins, a challenger finally appeared with the guns to put down a very, very competitive score. Congratulations of course go out to the competiting pilots of Epsilon and the Hammer, no organisation or environment benefits from a single dominant side so hopefully this means that future competitions may finally have the muscle on both sides to produce a close run conclusion!

I'm very conscious that the scoring in this RtF was the subject of heated discussion, but I'm confident that, just as with previous competitions, the lessons learned and any issues identified will be discussed before the next competition. It has unfortunately led to the resignation of long time Theta pilot, GN Schueler and he's going to be sadly missed - although you'll continue to see him in his CS role and on most communications channels - so gone, but not too far.

Likewise, LC Rosenau was transferred back to a FM role after a lengthy LOA, with no contact having been made - we still hope that he'll resume contact soon, but for now and during the back half of RtF I was asked to step in and provide assistance as CMDR. On which note, the Theta MSE was completed yesterday and unfortunately highlighted a number of potential RSV/MIA candidates - I'll make any transfers soon, but if I haven't heard from you in a while, please get in touch.

Finally, many thanks to GN Yoda for his almost single handed support of Theta during RtF, winning the graphics bonus round and flying over 300 missions to place 2nd on the overall SP score, while also claiming the months SP killboard. I look forward to rewarding his efforts, as well as bringing you all the final squadron and ship scores when they're announced!
Competitions

This section will, in future, focus on competitions running primarily for Theta pilots as well as the Wing or TC, but it is always advisable to look at the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

Following the month long RtF competition, I'll be keepinf things quiet for a few weeks until we'e all suitably refreshed, so stay tuned!
