Greetings pilots, officers, droids, and staff to the first Warrior report of May. There's much to discuss this week.

The first news item this week is that LCM Favdaukar has joined Sin Squadron after a stretch in the Reserves. My records don't tell me much about Favdaukar aside from his serious bee phobia. Sounds like a reason to catch up in the cantina, eh Lieutenant Commander? Welcome to the Warrior!

We've received our first official update regarding Raise the Flag 2019. The annual ship-to-ship wargame competition will take place in September this year. I think GN La'an said it best: 'Time to adjust the timer on Theta's cryochambers...'

When unidentified TIE Defenders interrupted a training sortie involving Theta, Sin, the WarCOM, and the TCCOM last week, FA Pete Mitchell's TIE Guardian broke up over the Warrior (or, um, crashed into it). Pete is expected to make a full recovery, but be mindful of Tex's bum knee for the time being.

While most of the TC is preoccupied with identifying those rogue TIE Defenders, I'm focused on a much more pressing issue: helping Pete find a replacement for his TIE Guardian. I've developed a reputation for innovative and inventive craft modifications (Plif would likely call them 'unsafe' and 'ill-advised'). That being said, finding the right fighter for the TCCOM is a tall order, and if Pete doesn't place an official call for proposals, then expect me to start soliciting ideas.

April's Escort Flight competitions are over, and May's editions are already underway. April standings have been updated below, and medals are being recommended and processed.

What I've been up to since my last report:

• Flew the TIE Corps in Battle missions (nothing like taking out multiple CRLs with dinky Gunboat lasers...)
• Watched the Star Wars original trilogy to bone up on my trivia
• Reviewed the Theta and Sin MSEs
• Started work on a custom starfighter scale model
• Made a few small edits to The Encyclopaedia Imperia

The only way forward is through.
