SOO REPORT #37

REPORTING OFFICER: Fleet Admiral Plif, Strategic Operations Officer
DATE SUBMITTED: 21 Apr 2019

NEWS

Not much in the way of news from my office this week, after wrapping up the evaluations and working through all the medal recommendations that came with it. I looked through the evaluations again and there are a few medals that were approved that haven’t been recommended in the database, hopefully those’ll be entered soon. I‘ll be summarizing the MoCs on the database’s news feed instead, more about that below.

April’s upcoming evaluation process promises to be a lot quicker for everyone involved. For now, though, I’d like to keep the same set of deadlines and we’ll revisit those down the road.

Next priority for me is working on some strategies for making squadron and ship reports a little less cumbersome. One thing I’d like to do more of is post news on our database’s news feed, and I think competition announcements and results might be a good place to start. Partly for my own sanity, as I like checking award recommendations against the competition results to make sure there’s not an inconsistency. But the bigger goal would be to put more of our news in a central location where it’s easier for everyone to access and might even make an impression on folks visiting the site that aren’t active members.

The Trivia Grand Tour is in its eleventh week, which wraps up later tonight. If you haven’t played yet, head over to http://tc.emperorshammer.org/timetest.php?testid=827761. Congratulations to last week’s winners, GN Mark Schueler and GN Pickled Yoda!

REMINDERS

If you complete a new Imperial University course, you'll notice that your EH database profile gets updated automatically but not your TC database profile. The latter are updated manually by me and the TCCOM, please give us a day or two after your test is graded for the new course to appear in your TC profile before you email us about it.

We have a weekly MP event with the Rebel Squadrons on Saturdays at 7pm Eastern. Participants meet up on the Neutral Ground server on Discord.

AWARDS
FA Silvius
In addition to all the things that make him a great COO, FA Silvius continues to turn in around 250 multiplayer victories each month and March was no exception. I’d my pleasure to recommend that Silvius once again receive the Gold Star of the Empire for his steadfast commitment to the Corps.

Recommended by: FA Plif

GN Elwood the Brave
With an impressive flight record and excellent communication for the month of March 2019, I hereby endorse General Elwood The Brave for the Silver Star of the Empire!

Recommended by: AD Miles Prower

FA Pete Mitchell
The TCCOM performed remarkably well once again in March with 215 total victories in addition to several competition medals and weekly reports on top of all of his position’s special duties and the Corps-wide competition he runs. To honor his leadership on all fronts, I’m recommending that he receive the Silver Star of the Empire.

Recommended by: FA Plif

COL Earnim Branet
March was another strong month for COL Earnim Branet. Sin's CMDR earned 26 LoCs, 70 LoSs, and a haul of Iron Stars from TC flying competitions. In addition, COL Branet issued five WSRs and ran the Project 659 squadron competition. For this high level of activity, I recommend the Bronze Star of the Empire.

Recommended by: VA Hav Antiel

VA Hav Antiel
In March, VA Hav Antiel spent a significant amount of time back in the classroom and came back with a certification in TIE mission design. This is no easy feat as the EH’s design standards have been developed over many, many years now. On top of that, Hav still found time to complete a handful of multiplayer skirmishes, earn a couple of competition medals, turn in ship reports, and run a pair of monthly competitions. For his efforts last month, the TCCOM and I are pleased to award him the Bronze Star of the Empire.

LCM DarkSith_99
For his very good SP flight activity and competition participation in March I recommend a PC for LCM DarkSith_99.

Recommended by: GN John T. Clark

Note: This award was presented prior to DarkSith_99’s promotion. Congratulations, Commander!

LCM Steve Dermody
For his excellent monthly MP activity and participation in several competitions I recommend a Palapatine Crescent to be awarded.

Recommended by: GN John T. Clark

Note: This award was presented prior to Steve Dermody’s promotion. Congratulations, Commander!

MAJ Rando
In March, MAJ Rando flew 17 SP missions with 08 LoS and 17 LoCs, showing excellent participation in the internal competition of his squad and the Multiplayer events of the TC. It is a very good example of how an active pilot should be for all his teammates and an excellent Flight Leader. For his performance I recommend that he receive the Palpatine Crescent Medal.

Recommended by: COL Earnim Branet

LC Nile Rosenau
Nile has blazed into Theta with high actvity and comms, his activity clearly requiring recognition - he's been proactive in stepping up to take on responsibility as a FL and committing to work towards promotion to COL and GN. Well done!

Recommended by: GN Jarek La’an

COL Gyssler
For his constant high points SP flying and competition participation in March I recommend a PC be awarded to COL Gyssler.

Recommended by: GN John T. Clark

GN Pickled Yoda
Need I say more, another consistent and highly active month in which Yods has remained the exemplar for the squadron to follow. Well done!

Recommended by: GN Jarek La’an

LT SL8c8
Another good and consistent month of activity merits recognition, including significant flight activity - even taking a mission HS from GN Yoda. Promotion will surely follow, on completion of TCCORE - well done!

Recommended by: GN Jarek La’an

CM Witcher
For his constant activity in the past months I recommend an ISM be awarded to CM Witcher.

Recommended by: GN John T. Clark

COL Pellaeon
For his flight activity and competition participation in March I recommend an ISM be awarded to COL Pellaeon.

Recommended by: GN John T. Clark

GN Dunta Polo
For continued levels of activity in the months of February and March.

Recommended by: MAJ Aldaric

AD Miles Prower
In March, we saw the return of AD Miles Prower to the Multiplayer Kill Board with his participation in our campaign against the Rebel Squadrons. With some additional time in co-op missions, turning in reports, and running a competition for the ISDII Hammer, I’m pleased to recommend that Prower receive the Imperial Security Medal.
