THETA SQUADRON REPORT
THETA CMDR: GN Jarek La'an
REPORT DATE: 20 Apr 19
Squadron Review
Welcome all to what may prove to be my last report in this tenure as Theta CMDR, having reached a decision that increased RL commitments will increasingly detract from giving the squadron the time and dedication it deserves. The COM has happily agreed to my proposal that applications are opened, while I remain in post until a suitable successor is selected. As per my message to the wider TC, I'm keen that any interested officer makes contact if there are any queries, my hope being that new blood will bring a new perspective to a squadron with a great pedigree of success.

I'm pleased to take this opportunity to acknowledge the successful evaluation round that has just completed, with LC Nile Rosenau and GN Pickled Yoda having been awarded Palpatine Crecents, while LT SL8c8 has bagged himself another Imperial Security Medal. Well done to all, as well as those who have been awarded Medals of Communication - otherwise known as the ones that really matter!

Following a clean sweep of the last Thetan Aces round, as well as an After Action Report, GN Yoda wil have a chance to defend his success to date - the missions for this round are in the competition section below!
Competitions

This section will, in future, focus on competitions running primarily for Theta pilots as well as the Wing or TC, but it is always advisable to look at the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions. Two Theta competitions are now pending approval, with a focus on flight and fiction, with the latter only eligible if a pilot has taken part in the linked flight competition. We'll see how these go!

  • Thetan Aces
Every squadron report will include a randomly picked Free mission for TIE, XvT and XWA. Every member of Theta has 10 days from announcement to fly these missions. Highest score in each platform will earn an IS-BW - if one pilot sweeps all 3 highest scores, they will earn 2 IS-BWs and the 3rd will be upgraded to an IS-SW.

The next round of missions are: TIE Free 167 & XWA Free 133 & XvT Free 168

  • After Action Reports
Any participant in Thetan Aces is eligible for this competition - they are to provide an after action report as a fiction or narrative of one of the missions flown by them, of no more than 400 words. All contributors will have the same 10 day period from announcement of the Thetan Aces mission to submit. Best report will earn an IS-BR and inclusion in the next Thetan WSR.

  • TIE Corps in Battle
Every month, there will be a full battle from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT, XWA) assigned. Pilots will fly each battle that they choose and BSF the battles to the TC database and forward the BSF email to Pete Mitchell. If the pilot has earned a high score, BSF it and also send the pilot file to Pete Mitchell in case the BSF is not approved in time. Please also forward the BSF confirmation to Pete Mitchell as well.

  • TIE Corps Spammers 2019
In this competition, the rules are made up and the points don’t matter! Seriously! The objective of this competition is to complete the assigned free missions as fast as possible! Cheating is encouraged (In game cheats only)! To participate, simply fly the assigned mission and take a screenshot of the debrief screen that shows how long it took you to complete the mission. Submit the BSF to the database, and forward the confirmation email to the TCCOM along with your screenshot of the time it took.

  • TIE Corps on Recon
Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI
Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight
These are MP and SP versions of the same comp: fly enough missions to rank among the top four on the Warrior for the month to earn points. Iron Stars are awarded to the top four every month with a quarterly bonus. For the Commodore's Escort Flight, LoCs and LoSs are summed for the total.
