ISDII WARRIOR REPORT #29

REPORTING OFFICER: Vice Admiral Hav Antiel, Commodore
DATE SUBMITTED: 7 April 2019

NEWS

Welcome to this week's Warrior report. Today, we're celebrating the 20th 19th anniversary of the day LC Nile Rosenau joined the TIE Corps as a flight member of Hunter Squadron aboard the SSD Avenger. I'd love to learn more about those glory years!

Theta's newest FL has also christened Flight II with an updated nickname and motto: The Sunday Punchers—“What else ya gonna do on your day off?” I'm not positive, but I believe that nickname originates with a US Navy squadron, VA-75, whose website explains, 'In boxing the Sunday Punch is the most powerful and effective punch of a boxer. In the armed forces it is anything capable of inflicting a powerful blow on a hostile or opposing force.' I heartily approve.

One final bit of Theta-related news: The Old and the Bold have updated their squadron logo with a new design courtesy of LC Kyle Kroan. You know I'm a sucker for a well-designed logo, and this evolution of Theta's old design has some features that I really like. The classic Hydra logo with Theta stamped on the skull is now all white on a red background, which tidies up the look. The handsome squared-off font for the squadron name feels familiar and appropriate. The logo looks great on the TC website, and I'm sure it will look just as good on pilots' uniforms.

What's that you say? Enough rambling about Theta? OK, OK... I have added my comments to March's squadron evaluations and passed them up to the SOO. Thank you CMDRs for your prompt responses.

A new month means another chance to earn a spot on one of the Escort Flights. There was some competition this time, as both Kill Boards had more Warriors than spots on the escort flights. I have updated the standings for March below and awarded medals to the Top Four of my escort flight. I'll remind GN Frown to do the same for his pilots. There are already four Warrior pilots on the MP Kill Boards for April. Not bad for the first week!
