SOO REPORT #31

REPORTING OFFICER: Admiral Plif, Strategic Operations Officer
DATE SUBMITTED: 28 Feb 2019

NEWS

Since last time, the January evaluations were completed right in time for a short break before February's evaluations start coming in. Kudos to the officers that had their evaluations in early or on-time, as that helps us recognize folks for their achievements with a sense of timeliness. For the officers that didn't have their evaluations in on time... we still appreciate your effort and we've got a plan in motion to assist you so that maybe this whole process won't be so much of a burden. Stay tuned.

This past weekend, I wrapped up my pass on updating the academic records of all active duty pilots so that everyone's profile should reflect all the IU courses they've taken even if they weren't a part of IWATS. Some of you have completed a lot of courses, but I can't really complain about that because it means you took the time to learn something new or confirm that you knew as much as you thought you did. If you're missing a course you completed from the ACADEMICS tab in your profile, let me know. If you have a score of 999% on a course, that means we either didn't have a record of your score or the course no longer exists so I didn't know what the max score was to generate the right %.

Yesterday, the TCCOM saw fit to award me with my first Grand Order of the Emperor. Thanks, Boss! That's the medal I've wanted for a very, very long time now (ever since I got my first GS back in '01, I guess), so it's exciting to have finally earned one.

The Trivia Grand Tour is in its fourth week, URL for this week is http://tc.emperorshammer.org/timetest.php?testid=7339810. Congratulations to last week's top two, GN Pickled Yoda and FA Pete Mitchell!

REMINDERS

If you complete a new Imperial University course, you'll notice that your EH database profile gets updated automatically but not your TC database profile. The latter are updated manually by me and the TCCOM, please give us a day or two after your test is graded for the new course to appear in your TC profile before you email us about it.

MP Nights for XvT and XWA are on Tuesdays at 4:30pm Pacific, we meet up in the Hangar voice channel in TC Discord.

AWARDS
AD Plif
AD Plif has served the emperor with distinction for the past 18 months as Commodore of the TIE Corps Flagship and SOO. Over that time, his exemplary organization, solid ideas, and wisdom has been vital to the success of the fleet. How the MoC is earned: In the monthly evaluations, each leader in the TIE Corps (CMDR+) lists all of the pilots that have checked in that month or communicated in a public forum. Those members are awarded an MoC with an oak cluster based on how many times they've earned the MoC in the past.

Oak Clusters: The MoC is always awarded with an oak cluster (MoC-boc, MoC-soc, etc.). For first two awards, it's a Bronze Oak Cluster. From there, the third award is Silver, the fourth and fifth awards are Bronze, the sixth award is Gold, the seventh and eighth awards are Bronze, the ninth award is Platinum, the tenth and eleventh awards are Bronze, and then the twelfth award is Diamond. After that, the cycle begins anew.
