Introduction |

Welcome to this weeks Delta Squadron report, which
unfortunately is also acting as a double report as I was unable to issue one
for the first week of February - the whirlwind lifestyle of a father with a
2.5 month old daughter - apologies all but rest assured that despite a week
without a formal report events continued behind the scenes with two rounds of
Delta Trivia to report back on in the section below and a series of Iron
Stars being awarded to the squadron - so kudos all around! The Delta MSE for January was submitted last week,
so I anticipate hearing back shortly as to what medals will be dished out
around the squadron. |

The past two weeks saw Delta Squadron compete in two
rounds of our own Delta Trivia, which were both reasonably well competed for
with about half the squadron submitting answers ranging from correct, to
downright wrong to rather humourous in the case of General Dempseys answer to
question 2 of last weeks round! The lead changed hands several times in both rounds,
however Colonel Impulse proved to be a fantastic competitor, claiming both
rounds in the end. Congratulations Colonel, a pair of Iron Stars with Bronze
Ribbons are heading your way ;-) Q1: Tatooine had two native sentient species - they
were? A1: Sand People (Tusken RaiderS) and Jawas Q2: Tatooine experienced a population explosion due
to mineral prospecting - but most of these mining companies left the planet -
why? A2: The mined ore had unwanted properties (it was bad!) Q3: Tatooine was not actually named in the original
Star Wars movie - what did George Lucas originally name the planet in his
