TIE Corps Commander Report #22 |

AD Plif was walking down the hallway of
the ISDII Challenge when his comlink chirped. “Pete, I’m almost back to my office,
hold on.” Plif rounded the corner and
his office door slid open. He stepped
inside and set his comlink on the desk and sat
behind it. A hologram of AD Pete
Mitchell, wearing his flight suit, formed.
The door slid shut. “Ok, I’m
alone.” “Is everything prepared?” Pete inquired. “Of course, Boss, the supplies are where
you asked them to be, but I don’t see why you need to go without backup…” “This needs to stay low-profile. Remember, I’m on vacation. If it makes you feel better, find an excuse
to put GN Elwood the Brave and CPT Rando on a mission in the Phare system so they are close by. That way I’ll have my wingman and our ace
if I need them. Make sure Elwood gets
a TIE Guardian, as well.” “Thank you
Boss, that would make me feel better.” “Oh come on now, this isn’t dangerous,
just clandestine…” With that, Pete
hung up and put his helmet on. He
activated his TIE Guardian’s radio to the Challenge’s traffic control
channel. “Tex
ready for launch.” “Tex, confirmed,
you are clear for launch.” “See you after a couple weeks, a few
dozen margaritas, and a nice tan!” Pete mashed the throttle to the stops
and shot out of the hangar. In half a
moment, he activated his hyperdrive and
disappeared. Pete’s TIE Guardian exited hyperspace in
a remote part of the sector, where he promptly calculated a new vector and
jumped again. After repeating this
more times, he came out of hyperspace right below a huge hangar. He quickly landed in the quiet hangar
without saying a word. It was a bit eerie how quiet this
familiar hangar was. Memories of his
days in Wing III’s Gimel squadron flashed in his mind quickly. Pete had more important goals here. He kept his flight helmet on and pinned on
a LCM badge he stole from Kappa. The
Sovereign wasn’t really an active part of the fleet, but there was still a
presence here, including the Grand Admiral, and he didn’t want to be
recognized. He went to a lock box near
the outside corner of the hangar and opened it up using the force to input a
combination and open it. He pulled out
a duffel bag and checked it. There was
food and a couple different uniforms in it. He then set off. |

First,
two larger medals have been awarded to reward the service of a couple
leaders. AD Miles Prower has been
awarded the Grand Order of the Emperor for his 2 years as Commodore of the
Hammer. GN Elwood the Brave has been
awarded the Gold Star of the Emperor for his tour of duty as CMDR of Epsilon
Squadron. Thank you both! On
a sad note, we wave goodbye to MAJ Mauser, who has
transferred to the Reserves. We hope
you will find your way back to us before long. There
have been two roster changes in Alpha Squaddron as
well. First, LT Starithm has been
promoted to Flight Leader of Flight 3.
Congratulations! LT Nova has also moved over to Alpha 2-4. COL Pellaeon has also decided to step
down as TCCOMA. Thank you for your
help during the beginning of my tenure, Pell! The 2019 annual competitions are live
now, so throw your hat in the ring for them!
I have created two new competitions for 2019. The first is TIE Corps in Battle 2019.
It is like TIE Corps on Patrol, but using full battles only once per
month. There are also awards for ship
and squadron participation (high scores not required), so get out there and
fly! The second is TIE Corps Spammers 2019.
This is a different type of competition for flying SP free
missions. In this one the points don’t
matter, but how fast you complete it does.
TCS also has ship and squadron participation rewards. See details for both competitions below and
through the links. Finally, it’s evaluation time again, so
let’s wrap it up quickly and get those rewards out quickly! |

TIE Corps in Battle 2019: Rules: Every month, there will be a full battle from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT,
XWA) assigned. Pilots will fly each battle that they choose and
BSF the battles to the TC database and forward the BSF email to Pete
Mitchell. If the pilot has earned a high score, BSF it and also
send the pilot file to Pete Mitchell in case the BSF is not approved in time.
Please also forward the BSF confirmation to Pete Mitchell as well. Each month the pilot with the highest score in
each platform will earn 10 points. The next highest score will
earn 9, the next highest 8, then 7, then 6 and so on. All submissions will earn at least 5
points. Any mission high scores, will earn 1 bonus point, and any
battle high scores will earn 2 bonus points.
High scores are determined at the time the BSF was submitted. If a high score is beat by another pilot in
the same competition that submitted after, both pilots will receive the bonus
points. If a pilot submits a BSF that
would have been a high score, but was beat by another pilot that submitted
before, no bonus points will be awarded to the second submission. Points will accumulate for the year for
more awards. Participation points will also be tallied by
ship and squadron. One point per
battle flown. Flying participants of
top participating ships and squadrons will earn extra rewards. Awards: Annual: IS-PW/GW/SW for 1st 2nd and
3rd total points for the year. (at least 5
participants) IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd and
3rd total points for the year in each platform (at least 4
participants) IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of
squadrons with 1st 2nd and 3rd total
participation points. IS-GW/SW/BW for all flying members of ships
with 1st 2nd and 3rd total
participation points. Monthly: IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd and
3rd total points for the month (at least 3 participants). IS-SW/BW for 1st and 2nd in
each platform (at least 2 participants). January Assignments: XvT-TC-3: Preparing for Battle BSF’s and are due by Midnight GMT January 31st. TIE Corps Spammers 2019 Rules: In this competition, the rules are made up and
the points don’t matter!
Seriously! The objective of this competition is to
complete the assigned free missions as fast as possible! Cheating is encouraged (In game cheats
only)! To participate, simply fly the
assigned mission and take a screenshot of the debrief screen that shows how
long it took you to complete the mission.
Submit the BSF to the database, and forward the confirmation email to
the TCCOM along with your screenshot of the time it took. The shortest time for each mission wins for that
platform and round. Each round will be
two weeks. 1st place gets 4
points, 2nd gets 3, 3rd gets 2 and, each other
submission gets 1. Participation points will also be tallied by
ship and squadron. One point per
mission flown. Flying participants of
top participating ships and squadrons will earn extra rewards. Awards: Annual: IS-PW/GW/SW for 1st 2nd and
3rd total points for the year. (at least 5
participants) IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd and
