Top news this week are the appointments of two new CMDRs, CM Alejandro Araujo in Alpha Squadron and COL Earnim Branet in Sin Squadron. Congratulations and good luck, gentlemen!

COL Impulse developed a new version of the patching application for all of our custom XWA craft, which makes a lot of XWA missions flyable again for those of us running modern systems. Well done, Impulse!

The TCCOM is on vacation and I've been filling in for him. The August Ship Evaluations have been returned to the COMs, MoCs have been awarded, and the COO and TCCOM have received their awards. I've also emailed the Cadet that signed up (the one that used the TC form, that is), performed three position changes, transferred someone to the Reserves, and made a manual rank change, so I've gotten exposure to a lot of new things this week. That moment when you think you've got everything right and the only thing left is to hit the Submit button feels a lot different when there's no approval process on the other side.

Once again, the completion of this round of evaluations isn't long before we're due for another round. CMDRs, we're counting on you to have your MSEs sent to your COMs by the 8th. Our two newest CMDRs might or might not be asked to write the September MSE for their squadrons since they're becoming CMDRs so late in the cycle, please ask your COMs how they'd like to proceed.

AWARDS

	AD Pete Mitchell During August, the TCCOM earned an impressive 58 LoCs and 158 LoSs while still performing his duties admirably and continuing to add fiction to each of his reports. For his efforts last month, I'm awarding AD Mitchell the Silver Star of the Empire.
	FA Silvius FA Silvius kept the bar high in August by churning out another 250 Legions of Skirmish from Star Conflict, running a whole array of MP competitions, and staying on top of the screenshot queue. For his outstanding work last month, I'm awarding Silvius the Silver Star of the Empire.
	COL Earnim Branet LC Earnim Branet completed his blockbuster summer with another month of stellar flying in August. With 11 missions completed, 22 LoCs, 64 LoSs and continued success in Corps-wide flying competitions, it's no wonder there's a rumor going around the Warrior that Branet sleeps in his TIE uniform. For these high levels of activity, I recommend the Bronze Star of the Empire
	COL Horus Blackheart Colonel Horus Blackheart has served Alpha Squadron in the capacity of squadron commander, volunteering for the position when new leadership was needed. He always had had ideas on how to drive not just the TIE Corps forward but also the Emperor's Hammer. He regularly communicated with his commodore and took part in flight exercises. For his term of one year and two months of service as squadron commander, I hereby nominate him for the Bronze Star of the Empire.
	CPT Rando During August, CPT Rando flew 18 SP missions with 3 new mission high scores. His continued participation (and dominance) in multiple Corps-wide flying competitions earned him 12 Iron Stars (and, of course, serious bragging rights). To recognize CPT Rando's high levels of activity, I recommend that he receive the Palpatine Crescent.
