Sin Squadron
SIN WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT #42
SIN CMDR: LC Hav Antiel
REPORT DATE: 9 July 2018
SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER
Raise the Flag Wrap-Up
Here are some quick details:
  • Sin finished in 4th place with 1,527 points (an improvement of 187% over 2017).
  • A total of seven Sinners earned points for RtF. That's more than any other squadron.
    • Your humble commander finished 5th with 513 points.
    • LC Earnim Branet finished 8th with 384.5 points.
    • CPT Rando finished 14th with 169 points.
    • MAJ Wondra finished 19th with 47.5 points.
    • LT Jack Wynand finished 25th with 20 points.
    • GN Exar Kit finished 28th with 10 points.
    • MAJ Xavier Sienar finished 29th with 8 points.
  • That's an 87.5% participation rate, the most active squadron in the TIE Corps!
  • Sin won the SP Bonus Competition, thanks to Rando's high scores and participation from myself, Branet, and Sienar.
  • Branet and Wondra finished 5th and 7th in the MP Bonus comp.
  • The Warrior scored more than twice as many points as the Challenge and almost 2.5x as many points as the Hammer.
You know what I'm most proud of? When I asked Sin to complete those SP Bonus missions, you responded. Theta sent four pilots into that competition and Sin responded with four of our own. Yes, Rando did the lion's share with his massive high scores, but Sin would have finished 2nd if not for the participation of Branet, Sienar, and your humble commander.

Don't believe me?
  • Theta earned 574 points in the SP Bonus comp.
  • Rando earned 315 points on his own.
  • Even with our best three scores, Sin would have only earned 521 points to Theta's 574.
So yeah, like I said, I'm proud of you, Sinners. Defeating Theta at an SP comp? You got the job done!

COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • Project 659
Each month, fly the SP battles indicated in the Sin Weekly Squadron Report and earn bonus points for high scores and fastest submissions.

  • TIE Corps on Patrol
For 2018, TCoP is moving to every other week. VA Pete Mitchell is taking the TCoP helm this year, so please note that BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London one every other Monday starting January 15.

  • TIE Corps Pilot League
Like TCoP, the Pilot League is a single-player comp taking place every other week. The difference here is that pilots have a rolling handicap. Each round, the pilot with the highest handicap score (expressed as a percentage of the high score) in each platform will earn 4 points. The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1. If the winning pilot in a platform also beat the high score (without the handicap added), that pilot will earn 5 points for that platform. There are more details about the handicap calculations on the competitions page, but needless to say, I'm very excited about this one!

  • TIE Corps on Recon
Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI
Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight
These are MP and SP versions of the same comp: fly enough missions to rank among the top four on the Warrior for the month to earn points. Iron Stars are awarded to the top four every month with a quarterly bonus. For the Commodore's Escort Flight, LoCs and LoSs are summed for the total.
PROJECT 659
Let's keep earning those Squadron Citations, Sinners. Every month, I'll announce a battle for TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. Your mission is to fly those battles before the end of the month.

Every battle BSF earns you one point; the first pilot to submit the BSF for each assigned battle earns a bonus point, and additional bonus points are awarded for ?80% of the existing high score and a further bonus point if you beat the high score. I'll keep track of points and award IS-BWs for every 5 points and IS-SWs for every 20 points.

CURRENT STANDINGS
Pilot Battles Bonus Points
CPT Rando 12 26 (fastest submission x9, 80% x7, high score x4) 38
GN Exar Kit 1 1 (fastest submission x1) 2

With June's BSFs, Rando has earned two more IS-BWs!

JUNE ASSIGNMENTS
PLATFORM BATTLE BSFs Needed
TIE Fighter TIE-TC 5 2
X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter XvT-TC 1 2
X-Wing Alliance XWA-TC 16 3

How were these battles selected? The following criteria were used:
  1. Fewest number of BSFs needed to earn a Squadron Citation
  2. Highest average rating in the Battle Center
  3. Fewest bugs

CLOSING COMMENTS
OK, that's it for this report, Sinners. Even though we didn't quite meet my goal of squashing every other squadron, there is still much to celebrate. That SP Bonus Competition victory certainly tastes sweet!

I've sent out an email to learn when you might be available for online multiplayer in XWA/XvT. I know it might be tough to find a shared time with pilots in different timezones, but I'm sure we can figure it out.

For Sin, (The most active squadron in the TIE Corps!)
