Sin Squadron
SIN WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT #41
SIN CMDR: LC Hav Antiel
REPORT DATE: 25 June 2018
SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER
Raise the Flag continues!

Here are some quick details:
  • Sin is currently 5th behind Theta, Cyclone, Kappa, and Epsilon. That puts us second to last.
  • Our current tally of 496 points is better than Sin's 2016 effort and ~60% compared to 2017.
  • The Warrior leads all ships with 3234 points.
  • I lead Sinners with 231 points, followed closely by LC Earnim Branet with 197.5 points.
  • Five Sinners have tallied points so far: myself, LC Earnim Branet, CPT Rando, MAJ Wondra, and GN Exar Kit (62.5% participation).
There's still time to fly for Sin and show the TIE Corps what we're made of!

Here's what I'd like to see this last week of RtF.

Goals for the Final Week of RtF
  1. Fly the SP Bonus missions:
    • TIE-TC 123
    • XvT-TC 84
    • XWA-TC 48
  2. Move ahead of Epsilon.
I don't ask much as your commander, but I do hope you'll fly for Sin during Raise the Flag.

SQUADRON NEWS

COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • Project 659
Each month, fly the SP battles indicated in the Sin Weekly Squadron Report and earn bonus points for high scores and fastest submissions.

  • TIE Corps on Patrol
For 2018, TCoP is moving to every other week. VA Pete Mitchell is taking the TCoP helm this year, so please note that BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London one every other Monday starting January 15.

  • TIE Corps Pilot League
Like TCoP, the Pilot League is a single-player comp taking place every other week. The difference here is that pilots have a rolling handicap. Each round, the pilot with the highest handicap score (expressed as a percentage of the high score) in each platform will earn 4 points. The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1. If the winning pilot in a platform also beat the high score (without the handicap added), that pilot will earn 5 points for that platform. There are more details about the handicap calculations on the competitions page, but needless to say, I'm very excited about this one!

  • Imperial Storm - A New Hope
This is the turn-based map campaign that the WARDs have been working on for some time. Battle teams led by the Warrior, Hammer, and TCCS battle for dominance over systems on the map. Be on the look out for SP and MP assignments, pilots.

  • TIE Corps on Recon
Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI
Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight
These are MP and SP versions of the same comp: fly enough missions to rank among the top four on the Warrior for the month to earn points. Iron Stars are awarded to the top four every month with a quarterly bonus. For the Commodore's Escort Flight, LoCs and LoSs are summed for the total.
PROJECT 659
Let's keep earning those Squadron Citations, Sinners. Every month, I'll announce a battle for TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. Your mission is to fly those battles before the end of the month.

Every battle BSF earns you one point; the first pilot to submit the BSF for each assigned battle earns a bonus point, and additional bonus points are awarded for ?80% of the existing high score and a further bonus point if you beat the high score. I'll keep track of points and award IS-BWs for every 5 points and IS-SWs for every 20 points.

CURRENT STANDINGS
Pilot Battles Bonus Points
CPT Rando 9 20 (fastest submission x9, 80% x7, high score x4) 29
GN Exar Kit 1 1 (fastest submission x1) 2

GN Exar Kit joins CPT Rando on the standings table with his submission of XWA-TC 43.

JUNE ASSIGNMENTS
PLATFORM BATTLE BSFs Needed
TIE Fighter TIE-TC 246 2
X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter XvT-TC 121 2
X-Wing Alliance XWA-TC 43 1

How were these battles selected? The following criteria were used:
  1. Fewest number of BSFs needed to earn a Squadron Citation

CLOSING COMMENTS
I'm not going to lie, Sinners. We are quite a bit short of my RtF goal. However, there's much to celebrate. LC Branet is flying like gangbusters, CPT Rando continues to knock down old high scores, and our veterans MAJ Wondra and GN Exar Kit have put up some numbers for Sin.

With just one full week left, I'm gunning for Epsilon. Will you help me make sure the Warrior squadrons lead the way?

For Sin,
