Strategic Operations Office Report #41 |

Anytime
VA Pete Mitchell had a spare moment in the past day, his mind wandered… “Why
is Pell having a meeting with the Grand Admiral on such short notice? He normally only had quarterly meetings
with Rapier, and once in a while Rapier would show
up for a surprise inspection of the fleet, but Pell never went to Rapier like
this… Oh well, back to the task at
hand…” Pete
pondered how best to transport Pell to the SSSD Sovereign. It wasn’t too far
away, but the fastest route wasn’t through territory that the Emperor’s
Hammer had the tightest grip on. Pirate, and even Rebel attacks were not unheard of. There was the long way around, but this
sounded urgent. Pete hit the button
for his intercom to his assistant, “Captain, please radio Admiral Plif and
his squadron commanders. Have them
meet me in my office ASAP.” CPT Cal Sinis was very efficient; he knew they would be here quickly. Pete chimed in to CPT Sinis
again, “Also, please cancel the Chalquila and the
entertainers tonight. Well, take the
delivery of the Chalquila, but please reschedule
the entertainment and make sure I am not interrupted.” As
expected, three hours later, there was a knock on his office door. “Come in.
It’s open.” CM
Aldaric opened the door and COL Mark Schueler entered followed by LC Hav
Antiel, AD Plif, and finally CM Aldaric.
“Gentlemen,
welcome, and thank you for making it over quickly on such short notice. FA Pellaeon is going to depart to the
Sovereign tomorrow and meet with the Grand Admiral.” “Why
is he having an unscheduled meeting with Rapier?” asked Aldaric. “Commander,
please don’t ask questions you know I can’t answer. Now, Theta will carry the Fleet Admiral to
his destination and escort him. Kappa
should be the forward guard and travel the route half an hour ahead to make
sure everything is clear. Sin will
stand by on Ready Five in case anything happens. That is, as long as it is ok with you,
Plif. Sorry, I’m reverting back to old
days, when I commanded the Flagship.” “It’s
ok.” Responded Plif. “That’s basically
what I would have done anyway. We will
make sure the TCCOM gets to the Sov quickly and
safely.” “Thank
you Admiral, that’s all I need to hear.
Good luck and dismissed.” The
Warrior leaders then about faced and left.
Once the door closed, VA Mitchell couldn’t
help but say, “I have a bad feeling about this.” He, however, could not place his dread and
whether it was the reason for Pell’s meeting, or the
journey to it that bothered him… Welcome
to this pre-report. It’s
a bit early to get that piece of fiction out there before Pell’s next
piece. Obviously, it’s
not quite the deadline for TCPL yet, but fear not, I will submit another
version of the report tomorrow to cover that.
In
Imperial Storm, we have another 3 way battle, which
will be the last of Imperial Storm!
The battle is for control of Vultur. First, the TCCS will square off against the
Warrior. Then the Hammer will face the
winner. Winner takes all! (Not really, I’m
pretty sure the Warrior has won RtF either way…) All
medals from April’s MSE’s have now been awarded and I
now have a new shiny Silver Star! Also the Commendations of Loyalty have made it in! Finally,
RtF is only a few days away, so you should be ready by now! |

TIE Corps on Patrol 2018: Round 11 Assignments: TIE-Free 278:
Report Retrieval BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm
Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London on Monday June 4. Rules: It’s a new year, so this will change a
little. Every TWO weeks, there will be
a free mission from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT, XWA)
assigned. Pilots will fly each mission
that they choose and BSF the battles to the TC database and forward the BSF
email to Pete Mitchell. If the pilot
has earned a high score, BSF it and also send the
pilot file to Pete Mitchell in case the BSF is not approved in time. Each week the pilot with the highest
score in each platform will earn 4 points.
The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other
submissions will earn 1. If the
winning pilot in a platform also earned a high score, that pilot will earn 5
points for that platform. Points will
accumulate for the week, month, and year for more awards. Awards: Annual: IS-PW/GW/SW for 1st 2nd
and 3rd total points for the year.
(at least 5 participants) IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd
and 3rd total points for the year in each platform (at least 4
participants) Monthly: IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd
and 3rd total points for the month (at least 3 participants). Weekly: IS-SW/BW for 1st and 2nd
total points for the week (at least 3 participants). IS-SW/BW for 1st and 2nd
in each platform (at least 2 participants). TIE Corps Pilot League 2018: Round 10 Assignments: TIE-Free
33: Katarn #1 – Current HS: 57,720 XvT-Free
12: The Collision – Current HS: 54,410 XWA-Free
19: Attack at Abaddon – Current HS: 19,385 Rules: This competition is similar to TIE Corps
on patrol, but it is handicapped to make it accessible to more pilots. Every TWO weeks, there will be a free
mission from each of the major SP platforms (TIE, XvT, XWA) assigned. Pilots will fly each mission that they
choose and BSF the battles to the TC database and forward the BSF email to
Pete Mitchell. If the pilot has earned
a high score, BSF it and also send the pilot file to
Pete Mitchell in case the BSF is not approved in time. BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm
Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London on May 28.
Each week the pilot with the highest
handicap score (expressed as a % of the high score) in each platform will
earn 4 points. The next highest score
will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1. If the winning pilot in a platform also
beat the high score (without the handicap added), that pilot will earn 5
points for that platform. It is
possible for a pilot to be the only pilot to beat the high score, and not win
that platform. If
for example, pilot A got 90% of the high score and has a 25% handicap for a
total of 115%, and pilot B got 105% of the existing HS (and earned a new HS)
with a handicap of 5% for a total of 110%, Pilot A would win the platform for
the week for 4 points and pilot 3 would only earn 3 points. Points
will accumulate for the week, month, and year for more awards. Handicaps will be calculated as follows: The average score in the platform as a
percent of the high scores will be calculated as an
average of all scores on that platform since the beginning of the League (avg). The handicap
will be calculated as the difference between the
average and 100%. For example, if a
pilot’s average score in TIE is 75% of the HS, his handicap will be
100%-75%=25%. If a pilot then scored
85,000 pts on a mission with an existing HS of 100,000 points, his handicap
score would be 85% + 25% = 110%. *The first round any pilot flies in any
platform will not have a handicap added as the pilot will not have an
average. Therefore, the first round,
there are no handicaps, only scratch scores.
**I reserve the right to create a maximum
handicap. At this point, it is
75%. Awards: Annual: IS-PW/GW/SW for 1st 2nd
and 3rd total points for the year.
(at least 5 participants) IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd
and 3rd total points for the year in each platform (at least 4
participants) IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd
and 3rd most improved averages over the year in each platform (at
least 4 participants, must have flown at least 10 missions) Monthly: IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st 2nd
and 3rd total points for the month (at least 3 participants). Weekly: IS-SW/BW for 1st and 2nd
total points for the week (at least 3 participants). IS-SW/BW for 1st and 2nd
in each platform (at least 2 participants). |
