SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER
It's the end of the year, pilots. That's as good a time as any to reflect on how we've spent the last 12 months. As a squadron commander, I like to use this time to review Sin's performance and make plans for the year ahead.

Fifteen pilots flew for Sin Squadron in 2017; of those, only seven remain. One transferred to another squadron before joining the reserves. Seven were lost in battle (or, well... to AWOL, technically). Two pilots from January's roster are still flying for Sin. Let's look at these brave 15, the pilots who made this squadron in 2017 (in order of when they joined Sin Squadron).

I take no pride in the number of AWOLs on this list. I know that RL comes first, and I never take an AWOL decision lightly. It was very difficult to say goodbye to COL Wraith, a former Sin CMDR and a member of the squadron since its reactivation in June, 2014.

That being said, it's worth noting the accomplishments of the fresh faces like LCM Rando and the rejuvenated pilots who returned from the Phoenix like LC Branet. Our success as a squadron and as a TIE Corps relies on our ability to recruit new talent and stoke the fires of pilots already among us.
SQUADRON NEWS
  • Sinners swept every medal and platform in TCoP Week 51. Nice flying, pilots!
    • LCM Rando nabs first place for TIE, XvT, and XWA to finish the year in 3rd place.
    • LC Branet finishes second in XvT.
  • LC Branet finishes third in TCAI Week 52 and tied for 2nd place for the year.
  • LC Branet finishes third in TCoR Week 52.
COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • The Price of Sin - This is a weekly competition with a separate IS-BW awarded to the pilot earning the greatest number of LoC/LoS or highest number of SP missions flown. Minimum criteria for award is 2+ pilots participating across any of the 3 categories.

  • Warrior Trivia - Each week, Plif will send out a link pointing to five trivia questions for Wing II pilots to answer. The trivia questions will come from the canon Star Wars Universe and various Emperor's Hammer manuals, including the TIE Corps Pilot Manual. Whoever correctly answers all five questions the fastest wins an IS-BR.

  • TIE Corps on Patrol - Each Saturday, Woody will announce a free mission for TIE, XvT and XWA. Your mission: earn the highest score. For each platform, the weekly winner will receive an IS-SW, and second will receive an IS-BW. Participants also accumulate points for their participation.

  • TIE Corps on Recon - Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI - Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.
