SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER
This afternoon, I attended the weekly Discord meeting and the Weekly Frag Competition that took place shortly after. I had the great pleasure of trading laser fire with AD Plif, RA Pete Mitchell, COL Horus Blackheart, Zed.0 of the RS, and our very own LT Rando. Stymied by my lack of prowess and a persistent lag issue, I found myself dead last in the final standings (and typically dead first in each sortie). LT Rando took first place and earned himself a Distinguished Flying Cross (pending). Well done, lieutenant!

Despite my lackluster score, I enjoyed flying with my fellow pilots. I was able to shoot down RA Pete Mitchell once again, only this time it wasn't friendly fire! Well, technically, I collided with him and we both took a loss, but nonetheless...

COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • The Price of Sin - This is a weekly competition with a separate IS-BW awarded to the pilot earning the greatest number of LoC/LoS/or highest number of SP missions flown. Minimum criteria for award is 2+ pilots participating across any of the 3 categories.

CLOSING COMMENTS
Another week brings more reasons to celebrate. This is truly a great time to be an Sin pilot. LT Rando swept TIE Corps on Patrol this week and earned two new high scores in the process. On top of that, he created some excellent resources to help TC pilots increase their scores. His XvT Commentary scoring guide + highscore for XvTF146 is recommended viewing, even for veterans. In fact, RA Pete Mitchell even admitted that he learned a thing or two from Rando's video, so check it out!

I'm happy to annouce that I will be awarding Iron Stars this week to MAJ Earnim Branet and LT Rando for The Price of Sin for flying the most MP and SP missions, respectively. As a reminder, this competition requires minimum participation of two Sin pilots in each category (your commander not included, of course). Thanks to LT Rando and GN Exar Kit's LoCs and MAJ Branet's SP missions, I'll be able to award both categories this week. You know, that's the first time I've been able to do that as you commander. I think I like it! Let's keep it up, pilots.

In closing, I'd like to share how pleased I am that GN Exar Kit has joined our squadron today. The good general has been a member of the TC for nearly 17 years, including tours of duty as commander of six different squadrons (Cobra, Raptor, Diamondback, Fury, Alpha, and Sigma), wing commander in command of Wings X and XIV, and commodore of the ISD Intrepid and the MC80B Redemption. I'm proud that GN Exar Kit has chosen to add Sin Squadron to that impressive resume. Please forgive me if I've forgotten anything, general.
