Address:
Greetings pilots! It's been yet another productive few weeks here in the Commodore's office. As you can see, I have updated my report format yet again. Here marks the last full week of High Admiral Elwood the Brave's long tenure as our esteemed TIE Corps Commander. Fleet Admiral Pellaeon will be taking over that position on August 1st and will announce his Strategic Operations Officer successor in due time then. In the process, the selection has seemed to attract some controversy but as I have said earlier in e-mail, I am certain he has chosen a qualified replacement that will be able to attend to the necessary duties with the same wisdom that he has shown in that office. This has also raised a concern regarding the seeming lack of interest in the open command positions across the TIE Corps.

Leadership is something that takes commitment and development and that holds true here in the Corps. Flight Leaders and Squadron Commanders are the backbone of the organization and reluctantly, Rear Admiral Mitchell of the Warrior had to close down Sigma Squadron entirely due to their interim commander going to the Reserves and no one taking interest in the position. Colonel Blackheart had also advised that there was little attention to the open roles in Alpha. From these positions one is able to step into roles where your skills will be shown but also further developed with the assistance of peers and higher command so that you may progress to higher venues. I myself adhere to the principles of servant leadership. I issue commands when they are either necessary by initative or having been passed down from the Admiralty Board, but I also keep my door open to the concerns and questions of my Squadron Commanders, Flight Leaders and Flight Members. Everyone's input is integral to the success of the ship and to the Corps. If there is an issue that needs to be raised or if you just need to talk to a friendly ear, you do not have to hesitate or worry about being a 'bother'. You are always free to reach out to me so that I can listen and help you.

With that said, I have two small projects that I am in the process of developing. The largest is a potential TIE Corps Fleet Campaign which originated with Colonel Horus Blackheart, Alpha's Squadron Commander. We have also drawn in Commander Hav Antiel of Sin Squadron and Rear Admiral Pete Mitchell, the Warrior's Commodore. We are developing a campaign that involves the entire Corps with a storyline where missions will be developed and assigned. There will be an Order of Battle integral to the storyline and mission development. Stay tuned, though we won't be giving too much away until it's go-time. I'm also in the process of proposing a Fleet Manual update to the TCCOM, LO and FC preferably utilizing the Wiki. The current Fleet Manual as it stands is hosted on the Internet Archive and is frankly dated.

Our weekly meeting took place on the 23rd with voice via Discord and the stream is available on YouTube as shown above. You are all certainly welcome to attend if you can to give your input and to also have fun shooting at each other in the multiplayer matches we hold afterwards. One special note there is that my work schedule will be changing staring August 5. I work a Saturday-Friday workweek and my schedule formerly had me hold Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday off with all other days on from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time. Now I will have Monday, Thursday and Friday off, all other days on from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM. I would like to be involved in the meetings still if possible and may propose a new date accordingly.

Special note to Squadron Commanders, our Monthly Squadron Evaluation goal is Sunday, August 6, 2017 with a stretch extension to Saturday, August 12 if necessary. Also, Colonel Blackheart will be on a temporary leave of absence from July 25 to August 2. I will hold command of Alpha for the time being and report for you. General Both of Beta will be traveling from July 28 to July 31 and will miss a WSR (understandably). Any command concerns can be brought to me in that timeframe.
