The Word
The Monthly Squadron Evaluation from June was shot in finally and the late commanders were counseled. I am awaiting the return response from the TCCOM and SOO shortly. Speaking of which, I must sadly report that our esteemed TIE Corps Commander High Admiral Elwood The Brave is stepping down on August 1. It's been two years but I like to think that he has done a respectable job of running the TIE Corps. Personally from working for him as a Commodore, he has been nothing but friendly, wise and open minded. He will be returning to the Hammer as a Flight Member. I intend however to award him the title of Colonel-in-Chief of his chosen squadron (a tradition within the United Kingdom Forces). It has been a heavy load to shoulder but I hope we'll get to finally face off in the sim pods.

Much love and respect to you Woody. You've done us proud and have earned your rest.

Colonel Blackheart has taken charge of Alpha Squadron and has sent out his expectations. I do expect that Alpha's pilots get in touch and keep an ear open, perhaps a hand on the joystick. Speaking of Horus, we had our first formal meeting in quite a long time, held over Telegram and Discord jointly, with Discord providing a voice platform. Rear Admiral Pete Mitchell of the ISDII Warrior and Commander Hav Antiel of Sin Squadron were also present as we discussed important matters that were raised regarding the TIE Corps. I've taken video of the meeting. For instance we are wanting to put together a campaign to have the entire organization working together for its completion, both in single player and multiplayer aims. We are organized together as what are we calling the Combat Information Centre for the planning and development of this campaign.

One thing I am specifically intending for a goal myself is to get outfitted with both the tools and qualifications to create missions. I feel we can only fly the Battle Centre to the end so many times. There's so many potential storylines to develop, so some fresh blood spilled in the Battle Centre seems appropriate. If I am able to get skilled accordingly, expect submissions there and also ones for our potential campaign.

After our meeting, we actually managed to play X-Wing vs TIE Fighter for a few shootups. Hav had to go but Lieutenant Commander Milo Antu swapped in and played with us too! We also managed to get (classic) Star Wars Battlefront II running online and had a ball there. I'd certainly love to get more people participating in both the meeting and the fragfest! Remember, we have a
tracker document dedicated to organizing these items.

Of special note, we haven't heard from Sublieutenant Tag, Alyus or Lieutenant Mingdug. Remember, there are minimum activity commitments to make, at least communication to be considered active. One should never hopefully go from the Daedalus to crew the Phoenix. It's bursting at the seams and reeks of warm Kappa Hype.
