Sin Squadron - Report #7
201703271445Z

Message for the Week - 'Turn that Frown upside down! If he struggles, beat him harder with the hydrospanner...'

Introduction

A big welcome to MAJ Branet who has joined us as Sin 2-2, a welcome and timely addition to our band of no good, scruffy looking nerf herders! He's made a welcome contribution in flight activyt already and has even been sighted on the message boards, so well done on all fronts - an example for us all to follow!

An example not to follow would be my own, RL having unfortunately skewered any attempt to do more than basic life support and comms for the last few weeks - I got as far as plugging in my joystick before all hell broke loose, so hopefully I might turn EHBL on within the next few days.

I've still heard nothing back from CPT Dante and if this doesn't change by the 31st I'm afraid an AWOL will be marked against his name in the MSE. I know we're all busy but all it takes is an occasional mail to let me know all's well and you wish to remain in the squadron, I have no issue with non-fliers, I just need to know you guys want to be here.

All pilots should now be enjoying access to the mailing list, I've managed to overcome the random error Google kept introducing so many thanks to Wraith for having set it up in the first place during his tenure as CMDR - I would only ask now that everyone uses it! If you're bored, want to talk about the latest movie, have mixed feeling about the Aftermath series (I've just finished the first book...) or have snags with a battle or file, use the group!

Competitions

The Price of Sin remains on the books as a squadron competition, essentially flight comp for highest MP/SP/LoS count per week. The original intent was that if only a single pilot flies then no-one wins, but I'm in no mood to penalise flight activity. Results for the last 3 weeks are below, each pilot can expect an IS-BR very soon for each entry.

Week commencing 06 March 17 - LT Stevenpowell - Highest SP (6), No MP/PvE

Week commencing 13 March 17 - MAJ Xavier Sienar - Highest SP (1), MAJ Earnim Branet - Highest MP (1) & PvE (16)

Week commencing 20 March 17 - MAJ Earnim Branet - Highest SP (4), MP (3), PvE (35)

Other than that, standing orders remain, participate in trivia and WARD comps where able or interested, fly where willing – our ability to run flight comps relies on more than 1 or 2 pilots being able to take part as it becomes little more than an auto-medal every round and that is unsustainable. If enough of you are willing to compete then I’m happy to support, otherwise if there’s anything else you need from me please don’t hesitate to use mail, Telegram, or more rarely IRC.

In Closing

The difference a few weeks make... A hearty welcome to the apparent powerhouse that is MAJ Branet, hopeuflly enough of a challenge to tempt MAJ Wondra back to his SC ways! LT Stevenpowell is on the verge of CoB and potential promotion to LCM as soon as he completes CORE IWATS, while COL Wraith is back in touch and MAJ Sienar has added a little more to his FCHG totals.

Yours Aye,
