Sigma Squadron Report #1 News

1. I have returned again to command Sigma Squadron, hopefully this time to stay.
2. I would like to thank Rear Admiral Len Eode for his exceptional service to the Tie Corps and moreso Sigma as our outgoing Commander. We will watch for great things from you, sir, during your tour as Warrior COM.
3. Back to the patrols boys and girls, we still need to find out what led to our database infiltration (blasted Rebels!)
4. The new motto still needs to come forth. We have eleven days, otherwise I'm picking.
5. Warrior Trivia is currently on hold due to the Change of Command. Watch this space for further details.

The small plastic box manufactured in the standard Imperial black didn't carry much, just a second set of medals and ribbons encased in a wooden box for display, a couple of holo-film pictures of Lanil's graduating class from the Imperial Academy and Basic Flight School, and a simple door sign adorned in brushed silver with black lettering in Basic and Aurebesh that read 'Squadron Commander' centered, and on the next line, 'Lanil Jast' also centered. Setting the box down, the veteran pilot pulled the sign from the box, removing the backing tape from the reverse side of the sign and placing it squarely on the sealed hatch to fill the noticeable difference in color revealed by the removal of the previous resident's sign. Lanil's was rare though, still sporting the older font styling from the last time this sign was applicable to him.

Keying in his auth code, the door hesitated for a second as it downloaded new data into its simple memory system telling it that Lanil is authorized to enter these quarters, before sliding into its recess to reveal the office and berth beyond. Another moment, and the lights click on, revealing a vacant space cleaned and prepped down to the smallest measurement in Imperial regulation detail.

Chuckling to himself, Lanil takes a seat at his desk and turns on his access terminal to get up to speed, musing to himself about how the fact you can't go home again is a load of Bantha poodoo.
