Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.089
Report date: December 18, 2016
The end is night, people. Of what, I will let you be the judge of that. Anything goes, from the universe, the world, a life, this year, or my tenure as Hammer COM. However you put it, we have 13 days left.
First order of business: congrats to CPT Ibram Gaunt, as we celebrate his promotion to Captain. 1 year after his return to active duty, and no less than 12 years, 1 konth and 2 days in the rank of Commander, he has finally taken the next step. Kudos to you sir!
Second order of business: kudos to LC Miles Prower for his inventive new WSR format. If you haven't seen it, do so! Of course a will be filing an official reprimand in his dossier, as he was out of uniform!
Third order of business: with my aforementioned departure as Hammer COM, we are looking for a replacement. Anyone who is interested is urged to send their applications to the TCCOM and SOO so that we can appoint a new Commodore on January 1st. SM/4 or equivalent and previous Command Experience are a must.
Fourth order of business: Several weeks ago, COL Clark also announced his intent to step down on the same day. As such, we are also in need of a new Commander for Delta Squadrons. Applications go to me, and SM/4 or equivalent is a requirement.
Fifth order of business: a quote from my report on November 20th: 'I'm startimng to feel old, this is the 3rd Warrior COM during my tenure as Hammer COM. Let's hope I won't reach a 4th, because that would be bad.' Guess what: now I'm really old as I have indeed outlasted Warrior COM #3, as FA Jarek La'an has taken over the helm of our sister ship this week. All the best to both him and AD Hawkins.
Sith order of business: did you notice my intentional typo there, or are you just now glancing back to what I mean with this?
Seventh order of business: we welcome back to members who have departed from the M/FRG Phoenix to take up positions in Epsilon squadron: MAJ Landon Cruise and CM Drake Starfire. Welcome back guys!
Eighth order of business: despite the lack of mention thereof on my ATR, I actually did get to fly some stuff this week, so my rut has been broken!
Ninth order of business: I don't know if it's ninth or nineth, so I'll skip this one.
Tenth order of business: This is indeed starting to sound like the Twelve Days of Christmas, but I'll let that one slide: this week CM Frenzy Lovodka was awarded a Commendation of Bravery. Which unfortunately I will be taking away from him again soon. This as a result of me finding his old TC record, and thus I will be updating his record soon. Including the CoB he received in 2003 and well, the CoB is one of those pesky medals you can only be awarded once.
Last order of business: the Dempsey's December Duckhunt competition is still in full force. So far, 8 people have submitted
bug reports to me, with FA Pellaeon taking the lead. More bugfixing is on the way. Fortunately, so far all the bugs found save one are due to small typos
in the code, and are easy fixes. Remember to include screenshots of error messages if you submit a bug!
