Tempest Blown with the Wind #10 Aug 14, MMIX Loading IO.SYS... < Salute, pilots from Wing X, Wing Commander TBA (¿?), Commodore TBA (¿?) and last but not least TIE Corps Commander Viper Pred >
Welcome to this, my tenth Weekly Report for my beloved Squadron, the mighty Tempest! The Mighty Tempest, "The Riders on the Storm". Damn, what can I say? It must be some sort of damnation for your weekly (or bi-weekly... ...monthly?...) source of trouble and reasons to rent a blaster and buy a bullet (no, of course bullets have nothing to do with blasters but we do not support suicide as we do not support cowardice), aka. CMDR. You see... seems it's enough for me to be a couple of days offline and voilá! Those blasted morons from the NR betray us on peace negotiations (thanks heavens), attack our borders, make some of our TIE Corps comrades disappear (even one from Tempest as you'll read below! :-\\) and... far worse than everything else: they push all of us into doing stuff for the real, screwing all slacking behaviours we might have been developing to date. Anyways, the thing is that as on each and every August (and to add insult to injury), I'm gonna be on semi-LoA during all the month. And what the hell is that, you may wonder. Well, that's just the silly term I pulled out to refer my current status: only full available during weekends and rarely the rest of the week unless luck provides, although I use to have at least a daily hour or so for all this but I'll usually need it for the CMDR/website mantainer paperwork alone. And well, I hope that fact will be enough to explain why the report you're going to read below... ... Ok, I hope that fact will be enough to explain why the report that comes below and you wouldn't read no matter what and then it would be interesting to know why on earth are you right now here and reading this in case you're actually reading this which comes to mind as a very slim possibility and I'm digressing once again... */me takes air* ...Why this report is so short compared to previous installments... ^_^u
Black alert! Or red! Homo-rainbow delta something whatever! Following the breaking of a peace attempt with The Emperor's Hammer, as silly and unbehaving as it might sound, the NR is attacking the borders of EH territory. They say the Admiralty Board has moved into strategic operations mode (for a change after an age of performing under the "lazy meditations" one) and the TIE Corps, as the only EH group still making sense enough to place a couple of orbital-genocides here and there for those piles of parasite-filled rotten anarchic flesh to calm down, is moving on on a preemptive attack. The mighty Chal will carry on with the head of the battle along with the ISDII (Everlost) Subjugator, the ISDII (SOViet haven) Warrior and the MC80b (Fishbucket) Redemption while we do what we know best: obliterate stuff while we make the Universe to regret having ever met us! Here begins "Operation Serpents Sortie"!! All of ye are called to wear your performing-caps® and do something of the following (better if you do everything of the following): For SP-l0vers: Fly the battles TIE-TC 184, XvT-TC 105, BoP-TC 16 and XWA-TC 33! Scoring per battle basis and lots of Iron Stars featuring fancy wings based on such scoring, from GW to BW. For MP-l33ts: Fly... Multiplayers matches, what else?! But don't report them into the database yourselves! If you want them to count for this particular competition submit them as if they would be normal SP submissions using the proper format as explained on [MP/2] IWATS Course and along with their screenshots. Either IS-GW->IS-BW or IS-SW->Nothing for grabs, depending on participants. For those who call themselves 'artists' : Do... errr... this: "Create images that showcase the battle at the border of EH space. We are battling the rebel "New Republic". The battle is raging so give it your all, send us graphics that You made that show the preparation and commencement of the counter-attack - RA Jedi Eclipse/DEAN." And hang me if I know what they really want but they hand out the classic battery of Iron Stars with GR->BR ribbons! There's also something about the creation of a new TIE Corps banner to use on recruiting if you're interested. For those who dare to make the rest to read their stuff: Feel free to punish everybody around writing about the following topics and forcing your uppers to read it: - Your reactions/thoughts about the betrayal (mass genocide children-free please ^_^) Then again, IS-GR->IS-BR for grabs, based on originality, descriptiveness... the number of bottles you invoice to the TCCOM... the same as usual... All submissions shall be sent to this e-mail address: tc-fleetops@googlegroups.com with an appropiate subject denoting the category. All submissions shall be CCed to your CMDR as well; use the same very e-mail you abuse to harass the poor dude on a daily basis. :-P There you go, my Riders! Make someone to feel proud of you as the pilots of the TCCOM's Own Squadron! Somewhere... somehow... yeah, well... ¬¬ Sadly, one of the first things those fans of democracy and other nasties did was to make several of our pilots to just disappear from their last assignment on Golan II Station "Aspire 2". We've been unable to contact them for some days already and they're hereby declared as MIA until further word from them. Well, one of them was Lt. Colonel Murleen, our comrade on Tempest 2-2. Now this is a sad day for "The Riders on the Storm"; losing a Squadron mate is never easy to withstand, and Murleen has been there for longer than I can remember, even as CMDR of the decomissioned Omicron Squadron on this very Wing before being reassigned here with us. This was the OFFICIAL paragraph. Tsk... Murleen, dammit!! Reply that TCCOM e-mail and tell him you're still there so he can change your current status from MIA to RSV and restore your LC rank! Being inactive like a bloody flowerpot is one thing, but falling into ostracism is a no way for an officer like you! >:F And this was the UNOFFICIAL paragraph... And now for some good news!! Know ye all that Commander Dunta Polo, former Tempest Flight II Leader, finally decided to return where he belongs as one of our best Riders after a short ToD on Wing XXI. He's now assigned on my own Flight as Tempest 1-4 and, what can I say? It seems he still mantains that unhealthy hobby he's widely known for which consists in stealing each and every medal available from other potential grabs. ;-) Welcome back, Dunta!! I'm glad to see you around again, and you can rest assured that we'll somehow find reasons to claim you owe us some alci gallons. ^_^ First bad, then good, now BAD²... As all of ye might already know, General Jondaar Domi, who has been serving as Wing X Wing Commander since... since... well, let's just say that he was there before Kaplooey Day®; the good old General has stepped down and requested his retirement into TC Reserves due to heavy RL time constraints. Hell, Sir! I can assure you'll be missed like hell here, and you can be sure you'll find again a spot for ya if you ever decide to return HOME. ;-) Know that General Domi, being one of the most veteran TIE Corps/Emperor's Hammer members with more than 10 years of service under his belt, was there heading the restoration of this Wing X and the ISDII Challenge as a whole after hell broke loose last September; thanks to him and a few of our comrades we can currently claim to be in almost the same status we were before, almost all our material, membership, proud history and unparalleled motivation preserved for this new TC era. For all his hard work, he has been awarded The Silver Star of The Empire on his retirement. And trust me when I tell you that he would have deserved even more but I'm not invested with authority enough to decide on that. :_\\ Currently we've no Wing Commander nor Commodore and applications are not being accepted yet, which means Major MAJOR MAJOR Gio Palermo and myself are managing this Wing day-to-day operations for the time being. We'll see what happens after the long-announced Roster Change... (F-E-A-R!!) For those of ye who still haven't heard about (what nasty hellhole have you been hiding in? >:P), the whole TIE Corps Fleet has now a new global mailing list which shall replace all ships' particular mailing lists, and that includes our trusty wingx@isdchallenge.org. From now on all official communications (spam), reports (spam), strategic tactical briefings (spam) and executive orders from the Admiralty Board (nasty spam!) shall be sent through tiecorps@googlegroups.com. I WANT ALL OF YOU SIGNED AS OF NOW IF YOU AREN'T SIGNED YET. In a few days I'll check who is still missing from its membership and chances are that I'll start pestering them to death for they to sign themselves immediately. It's very important! Why so? Well, because if you aren't there you won't recieve any TC communication unless it's a personal one or comes from the Squadron-level and you may think the Fleet is dead when the only -dead thing- there would be yourself. >:-J And FINALLY!!! Finally I could get those pending MSEs from May, June and July processed by the SOO! These were those of ye who proved yerselves worth of a merit commendation during those last few months: Colonel Dan Bonini! Recieve no less than The Bronze Star of The Empire for your impressive and, more importantly!, mantained levels of activity on May, which includes your performance on last Raise The Flag (lite). Commander Dunta Polo! Recieve the coveted Bronze Star of The Empire you too for the same very reasons. Your activity during last RtF was indeed at the NUTS side, and you were crucial for the rising of Tempest as the new TCCOM's Own! Lt. Commander Sergeyli! Recieve The Palpatine Crescent for your amazing flying activity and commitment towards your Squadron as Flight Member during the month of July, where you even managed to tie crazy Dunta as SP Ace of the TIE Corps! Lieutenant Chris Pape! Recieve The Imperial Security Medal for what it has been one of the best first ToD months I've ever seen on a new recruit. You have been commended for your breathtaking dedication to date, and you can be sure your merit awards will improve if you just mantain this levels of activity! CoRoneR™! You... ¬¬... bah! Get these PC (May) & ISM (June and July) and get lost! And, as I briefly mentioned above, Lt. Commander Sergeyli and Commander Dunta Polo tied up as SP TIE Corps Ace of the Month on July for a couple of nice IS-GWs! Well done, you've just outperformed the rest of the Fleet, gentlemen. ^_^ Moreover! LCM Sergeyli himself got "Tempest Pilot of the Month" on July! Not enough! LCM Sergeyli ALSO got "Challenge Top Gun" title on July! Dammit, Serg, help me to hate you a little! xD AND MORE! Lieutenant Pape got "Wing X Pilot of the Month" on July! For his first week of service: the inhumanity! 0__o And to bring an end to so much glory! LT Pape was named "Tempest Student of the Month" on July after having been crazy enough to pass no less than 7!!! IWATS Courses during that single week, even having achieved 100% score up to 3 times! Now THIS is how we're used to do stuff among "The Riders on the Storm"!! As your CMDR I'm proud of you, pilots, and I look forward to see ye all shining again on the ongoing TC-wide competition this month. ^_^ New battles! FREE missions! Just what you've been waiting for, and all thanks to the efforts displayed by personnel from the Tactical Office. VSD Sinister crew with FA Anahorn Dempsey dooming from above just cannot stop providing us reasons to keep flying our slacking arses off for the sakes of the TIE Corps! :-D XvT-TC 34: An Empire at War by FA Anahorn Dempsey And there's a new Multiplayer Matches automated reporting system for ONLY "24/7 LoCs" events available for you at the TC database!! Find it as "Submit MP match result to the Combat Operations Officer" at your administration menu after login. It's pretty intuitive so I hardly doubt you'll have any trouble using it. Find all details about it on [MP/2] IWATS Course ("Reporting a Match" section) and remember you'll need your screenshots for your submissions to be processed. And all this thanks to the crazy and endless efforts of that hellish being that Fleet Admiral Dempsey, our Happy TACcy and TC database creator and administrator, has demonstrated to be as stated on the previous news entry. Thanks a lot, Ma'am! Hell knows where we would be now if not for you!
( Oh, come on! I've no time for silly Spoilers! This is WAR, gentlemen. This is WAR and we are NOT Sparta (although we're already twisting some throats to add that title to our current ones). Now go and do something USEFUL with your pathetic lack-o'-lifes! )
Today ends "On the Verge of Epic" Tempest-only competition and I'll try to have those results ready as soon as possible. However, I must admit that despite I've seen a decent number of my Riders participating there I was actually expecting to see ALL THEM participating... Remember gentlemen, just because you escaped safe from the last NR onslaught at "Aspire II" Station it doesn't mean you'll escape from the TCCOM that easily on the upcoming TC Roster Change. The best way to keep your arse safe, you say? Easy there! Do your best on "Operation Serpents Sortie" in behalf of Tempest!! Then again, those Wing X MWEs from May, June and July have been processed, indeed, but all MoCs are still pending yet already reccomended. Patience, my minions, patience... either that or kill the COMM, Vice Admiral Bruk; whatever you think it's best... (but if it's Bruk dammit! Where's the doubt? ;-D) Yet another weekly Tempest website update, as usual. Don't forget to check the site often as one of your primary sources of useful information and bollocks of all kinds. All complaints are to be sent directly to ME, now I allow ye to send those complaints directly to me. I won't have time to read them anyways... ^_^ And here, gentlemen, you have the current status of our 2 ongoing monthly competitions! Ummm... Sergeyli, Dunta, Chris... some from John T. Clark... good, good, but hell! I'd be sooooo happy to see some new Tempest names there. To dream is free, they say. :-P Tempest Pilot of the Month - Aug '09 LCM Sergeyli - 58 missions Tempest Student of the Month - Aug '09 LT Chris Pape - 3 IWATS Courses "TAC's citation hunt"? Errr... no since this competition is supposed to be finished long ago, but I decided to keep this here in order to keep you all updated on our progression when it comes to earn Battle Citations for the mighty Tempest. Now the thing is to make that big red number below to change as quickly as possible flying even Space Invaders if necessary! ;-) Oh, and if you are interested in a detailed list you have it at the end of this report, right below the Squadron Roster, merciless copied from HERE Right now we've a total of -3 """new Battle Citations""" since we started counting here. IV.) Do it or DO IT. Don't even dare to try! (aka. Squadron Standing Orders)
Note on order 4: if you can't actually realize this IS NOT a RL way to go you should request transfer to the Redemption or something... ¬_¬
V.) Someone flew over the Ewok's Nest (aka. CMDR's Corner)
Well, as I stated when I started this report, my RL time now is quite limited to being here now telling ye scary tales as usual. However! I've got something which surely will make your day, and I honestly think that's fair enough for these times of lazyness, overall chaos and empty jars everywhere. See... sometimes we, as the cockpit-headed dudes we are, always following orders we don't clearly understand beyond the fact that we're made to kill things and turn to smoky wreckage whatever can't be killed by the book, even when we're pretty sure that all we manage to accomplish will be for the sakes of some particular Admiral's greedness and nasty, unbehaving behaviours... sometimes we just cannot see the whole picture, the final consequences of each and every thing we do as dedicated Imperial officers serving this last worthy remnant of The Galactic Empire that The Emperor's Hammer is. Yeah, cry me a river. The thing is that we keep vaping stuff and that makes us happy, what means that we're happy with our job and that put us all in some odd percentage of people (less than 1%) around the Galaxy... around ALL Galaxies and Dark Tower levels even! Then there's that silly peace we've been hearing about on the last issues of "The Aurora Times" (which came in newspaper format instead through Holonet for the simple reason that the EH has a deal with Paperboy® for him to keep his bike out of our hyperspace paths, in order to prevent heavy losses at Fleet-level) but we'll deal with that in due time the only way we know; the Admiralty Board perfectly knows that the only way we know to spread peace is to spread a thousand space bombs FIRST so I'm still wondering what the hell... oh, well... :-P Heh... the funny thing here is that those Rebels, NR-l0vers, epitome of all what is stupid and corrupt on this poor Galaxy (not counting the EH Command Staff for the -corrupt- thing, of course ;-)), have also their own good times of realizing the final consequences of their own acts. They're good beings! They're heros! They'd make sith to save all free races from the oppresive Imperial yoke and whatnot! Well... sometimes... sometimes they just cannot foresee such consequences. And why so? Easy there: they're stupid, as you can see below. ^_^
JIAJIAJIAJIAJIAJIAJIA!!! And thinking that we only wanted those silly furballs to leave us alone while we were working on our military installations. Thanks Palpatine there we got the "sentinel of freedom" almighty Rebel Alliance to take vengeance in our behalf after the disaster at that Imperial bunker. Tooooooooo bad, soooooooo pitiful, that this is not exactly what they were looking for! ;-D And YES, I've also heard those silly theories of an odd hyperspace wormhole briefly opening and eating all debris when the Death Star II hyperdrive regulator was destroyed, not to mention the Rebel Alliance helping around with tractor beams blahblahblah-whistles-blahblahblah... sure thing... does "Rebel Propaganda" mean something for ya? Did you ever see any Ewok not unslaved and working on my Secret Destillery™ near The Chal's reactor core along its whole family? There you go. >:-J VI. Anyone get the number of that donkey cart??? (aka. FCHG and Combat Ratings) (Combat Ratings not yet implemented into the new database so it's not that they might be wrong. They WILL BE wrong.)
