SALUTE

Welcome to the COO Report! Some important news this week, especially for Battlefront players!

BATTELFRONT NEWS

Battlefront has made changes that are a bit of a nuisance to our esteemed group! They have removed the AI Kills stat from the results pages, and as such we cannot differentiate between Player and AI Kills.

However, it has been agreed that Battefront Starfighter mode will remain a Legion of Combat worthy platform! So keep submitting those screens!

Unfortunately, this means Battlefront has been dropped from this month's COO Challenge. Although it began as a Battlefront competition, an error in processing added Star Conflict results to the competition. Thus, the competition was shifted to be multi-platform. However, these changes have given battlefront players an unassailable advantage. As such, it would be unfair to continue to have it as part of this competition, as it currently stands. Future Battefront competitions will be unaffected, as simple 'highest kills' will be recorded.

All Battlefront scores recorded under the original system remain valid and will count towards the month's results. Indeed, the current leader is from a Battlefront score!

If you have any questions, please contact me for further details.

STAR CONFLICT COMBAT EVENT

After a small ammount of interest, we have proposed the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of April for a Star Conflict Combat event. Please let me know if this is a good time for you all!

This will not be the normal 'highest kills' used during the monthly challenge, but an actuall competative event in which TC pilots will need to organise and fly matches in competition with other members.

Now, actually organsing to be on opposite teams is going to be near impossible, so I would like to propose the following:

  • Each match will be between two or three TC Pilots, who must form a team.
  • Each match must be PvP, but at any Tier agreed by the pilots in competition. If there is disagreement, the lowest Tier requested will be used.
  • To win a match, a pilot must achieve the highest Efficiency (EFF) compared with his TC opponents. Each highest EFF will be counted as a Victory for that pilot, irrespective of whether the match overall was a victory or not. You are competing against your fellow TC pilots, not everyone else. Leave that for the LoCs!
  • The pilot with the highest number of victories will be the overall winner, and recieve a Distinguished Flying Cross. Other medals for particpation may be added if there are sufficient members taking part.
  • No pilot may compete against an opposing pilot more than three times. After the first three match reports featuring those pilots have been recieved, no further points can be scored when competing in a team containing that pilot, even if another pilot is present.

If you are interested, please let me know, especially about the date. Thanks!

COO COMPETITIONS FOR MARCH 2016
This Month's Competitions:

COMBAT EVENTS

COO Monthly Challenge 2016: - whole TC
Combat Events will run a little differently this year, for the COO Challege.
Each month, a new event will be organised, allowing us to switch between Star Conflict and BattleFront. This competition is multi-platform, and includes Star Conflict, XvT and XWA. Due to changes to the Battelfront reporting statistics, Battlefront has been removed from this Combat Event. It will be the focus of the April Combat event instead, with the SC Combat event being as described in the News section of this report. To win March's Combat Event, simply get the highest number of Kills + half AI Kills. Best of luck!
