COO REPORT #20
FROM: COO/RA Hawkins
DATE SUBMITTED: 7th February 2016
TALES FROM THE AGGRESSOR
THE ENDLESS IMPERIUM - PART 5

HISTORIC RECORDS

MICROSCOPIC ENEMIES

It has long been suggested that the rise of the so called 'Endless Imperium' was inevitable - that there was nothing that could have been done to prevent it.

I, however, disagree. It could have been prevented, indeed, should have been prevented. It is a somewhat damning inditement of Imperial arrogance that this tradgedy and on-going threat to our security could have been stopped at it's earliest beginnings. We were, however, too distracted by an altogether more common enemy.

At the time of the Endless Imperium's first re-appearance, a bout of Ghennan Sickness was rife amongst the higher echelons of sector command, aparently spread following an admiralty briefing attended by one member who was at the most contagious stage of the disease. Of course, it would have been 'unthinkable' for any imperial officer to 'shirk' his duties due to illness, and so the entire sector command was exposed to a disease capable of spreading rapidly. In the weeks following the briefing, most, if not all, of sector command was afflicted with the illness.

Ghennan sickness attacks the digestive system, and has no known cure - the symptoms rarely being fatal it is a low priority for research. However, the resulting dehydration, lethargy and discomfort is pronounced. At a time when utmost vigilance was required, sector command was, shall we say, otherwise engaged. They could not, of course, hand over command to others. This would have been a sign of weakness and would not be tolerated. The unintended result is that officers who could have been more attentive were not put in the position to be so, and those who were distracted by their own illness were left in charge.

Following the publication of his book, 'The Endless Imperium; A Study', Imperial Historian Ivor Kench'ana was executed for sedition.

STAR WARS MP COMPETITION

For the month of February, I would like to encourage you all to have a go at some SW Multiplayer!

We currently have no less than 5 Star Wars platforms available for multiplayer:
* X Wing vs TIE Fighter
* X Wing Alliance
* Imperial Alliance
* Freelancer: Freeworlds
* Battlefront 3

Your challenge is to be the pilot who flies the most MP missions in any given platform. Even losses count, so get onto XvT, XWA, GS, or whatever, and submit your entries via the normal process. Losses won't earn LoC/LoS, but they will count towards the competition total.

STAR CONFLICT LESSONS

Dempsey has been putting various lessons to help players familiarise themselves with Star Conflict onto the TIE Corps News Page. Make sure you check them out!

PERSONAL

I'm typing this report whilst my wife and child are asleep - both of whom have a terrible stomach bug that is resulting in much unpleasantness. They have picked it up from me, who spent the first part of the week becoming depressinly familiar with the insides of my household facilities. So between recovering myself and now looking after the family, I've been somewhat quiet and inactive. MY thanks to CM Silvius for his efforts as COOA in keeping the office ticking over. I'm working through the backlog of stuff, as and when I can.

COO's Star Wars Challenge - whole TC
Let's face it... this is a Star Wars themed club!

For February, I would like to encourage the playing of Star Wars themed MP Matches.

We currently have no less than 5 Star Wars platforms available for multiplayer:
* X Wing vs TIE Fighter
* X Wing Alliance
* Imperial Alliance
* Freelancer: Freeworlds
* Battlefront 3

Your challenge is to be the pilot who flies the most MP missions in any given platform.

For each platform, medals will be awarded to the one, two or three players who submitted the most matches. Matches can be any valid PvP or PvE game format.

For this competition, I will also accept matches that are losses. They will NOT earn a LoC or LoS, but will count towards your total number of Star Wars MP matches played. This way, even PvP matches between TC pilots will count for both competitors. A little extra incentive to get onto those SW platforms!

Matches, including SW based losses, should be submitted using the normal MP and MP Co-op match report pages in your TC Admin page. The COO and COOA will process the results, approving with or without LoC/LoS as appropriate.

All normal submission requirements apply. Submissions will be processed manually by the COO and COOA through the normal MP submission process.

January Standings:
Top 3 ranked pilots:

1st - LCM Chrome
2nd - CM Arkson
3rd - N/A
