TALES FROM THE AGGRESSOR

The Rebels were back. Peace always seemed fleeting, mused RA Hawkins. It had begun with rumour. Half-believed reports of Republic forces again encoraching on space that the Emperor's Hammer considered to be within their sphere of influence. Of course, the so called 'Republic' would claim that it was neutral territory - that the Hammer had no legitimate claim over the space they had been encountered in. But such was the naivety of these Rebels. Borders in space were nothing but planes on a chart. If the space around the borders were not rigorously defended, then it was nothing less than an open invite for invasion. As such, with the reports of Rebel fighters probing systems close to the borders of EH space - the Admiralty had to act. Confirmation of the incurions was soon forthcoming. The image captures by LCM Sparky still lay face up upon his desk - the evidence of Rebel action was irrefutable. If the Rebels thought that hiding in atmosphere would protect them, they would find themselves sorely mistaken. Fleet Admiral Elwood had acted decisively. The TIE Corps were being deployed once again. After months of being restricted to covert operations, open conflict would once again be joined. The Rebels would learn the price of provoking the inheritors of the Empire. Hawkins would make sure of that... Submitted by RA Hawkins

LOC screenshots waiting to be processed: 0 LOS screenshots waiting to be processed: 0 BATTLEFRONT 2015 Battlefront 2015 has arrived! For this, I will turn to the news as announced by FA Elwood the Brave: After evaluation of Battle front 3 by EH members with early access on the game, there is a flight only mode implemented in Battle Front 3. This game mode, and only this game mode, is now an aproved TC game for activity. There will be an evaluation time until the end of the year. During this evaluation time you can submit your victory screens through the TC databse as MP victories for LoC. The COO will come up with rules regarding the minimum requirements for an LoC during this evaluation time. Expect an E-Mail from the COO within the next days about the requirements and the way to submit those screenshots. Until than safe your victory screens. After the evaluation time I will decide if the flight mode of BF3 will be permanently added to the TC approved games or not. All LoCs earned during the evaluation time will be permanent though, no matter the decission about the game itself. As a note, the result screens for the starfighter mode display show background views high in the air as opposed to down at ground level. For the moment, this will guide our acceptance/refusal of LoCs. The minimum requirement currently stands at 1 Kill - and that is 1 Kill and opposed to AI kill - in a match where Victory was achieved. The award is for PvP, so you must make a PvP kill. There is a strong likelyhood that the December PvP Competition will be Battlefront based, so by a quick show of hands (read replies to this mail), who is intending to be playing Battlefront Starfighter in December? STAR CONFLICT - DREADNOUGHT UPDATE The EH SC Dreadnought is now christened the M-DREAD Harbinger - a Maelstrom Dreadnought class vessel to be used as a base from which to laucn covert operations in none-standard fightercraft. The name was chosen by CM Doc, and voted for by the good members of the TC. Congratulations on the win, Doc! COMBAT EVENT PARTICIPATION As we approach the end of the year, I have gone through the entire backlog of pilot submissions for the COO Monthly Combat Challenge 2015 and added all participation to your pilot profiles. This should now show in your Combat Record. If you feel you have been missed, I'm afriad your record may have been lost (I only have the Google Docs form to go from), and I would encourage you to get back onto SC and submit a new PvP screen to register your participation! NOTABLE COMPETITIONS We have our first entries in the Pyrrhic Victory competition! Although there is some clarification to be made for this one. The competition is for PvP entires only. The new details are as follows: Star Conflict: Pyrrhic Victory The Star Conflict: Pyrrhic Victory competition is hotting up, with a few more screens tricking in. Please don't forget to record those losses in whcih you still acheived well persoanlly, even if the team didn't! This competition will recognise the highest Efficiency scored in a PvP match that was otherwise a loss. This is an email entry competition, so email me at nedius@gmail.com with your submissions, So, remember to screenshot those losses, and submit your best! Combat Center Banner Competition The revamp of the Combat Center is looking a little... slow. No entries so far! I know we still have until December to improve this: but it would be good to get some initial entries to get things going! My entry is well underway, but would rather not award the medal to myself! So, please get your entry in for the Combat Center Banner competition! Your challenge is to design the Combat Center a new banner/headline image. This is a two month competition - so plenty of time to come up with and develop your ideas, and we can start the new year with a new image for the Combat Center! Once you've come up with your entry, please email me at nedius@gmail.com with your submission! AVENGER SQUADRON Changes will come in the new year, and you've all seen the initial suggestions. There has been little further responce, so I'm questioning the value of Avenger. If there is a sound reason to keep it going, we will. If it becomes a more or less meaningless honourific then I will seek further advice on its continuation. Please, email me if you have any other ideas on how to move Avenger forward! This Month's Competitions: Woody continues to lead the competitions this month, with our esteemed FA leading 4 out of 5 combat competitions! Will anyone unseat him in the later part of the month?? COMBAT EVENTS COO Monthly Challenge 2015: - whole TC This Combat Event will be for the coveted DFC. Your goal will be to submit a victory screenshot with the highest number of kills plus half assists (rounded down) you can get in one round of Star Conflict's Domination or Team Battle modes. Processed by the COO and COOA via the normal MP submission process. October Standings: Top 3 ranked pilots: 1st - FA Woody 2nd - MAJ Nolij 3rd - GN Coronel Both COMPETITIONS MP Ace Of The TIE Corps - whole TC The Multiplayer Kill Board will used to keep track of points. Each LoC earns you a point for the competition, and a DFC counts for 5 points. Whoever scores most points win. The numbers on the MP KillBoard at the end of the month are the numbers that are tallied. If there are three participants then IS-GW/SW/BW, if only two IS-SW/BW, etc. At the end of the year the top 3 pilots with the most points will receive IS-PW/GW/SW. XWA, XvT, Star Conflict, and Freelancer-Freeworlds are the authorized platforms for this competition. October Standings: Top 3 ranked pilots: 1st - FA Woody 2nd - MAJ Nolij 3rd - CM Doc Star Conflict: Pyrrhic Victory: - whole TC In some battles, the odds are simply insurmountable, and victory beyond even the reach of the greatest TC pilots. However, in defeat you force the foe to face such a heavy cost, that their victory is hollow. In the spirit of Thermopylae, this competition is to recognize those battles where you fly your heart out, rack up kill after kill, score objective after objective - yet victory remained elusive. To Enter, you must submit a screenshot via email at nedius@gmail.com showing your highest Efficiency in a match that was a Defeat. You may submit one screen for the competition. However, you may update that screen if you subsequently score a higher EFF.
