< Salute, pilots from Wing X, Wing Commander Domi , Commodore TBA (¿?) and last but not least TIE Corps Commander Viper Pred >

Welcome to this, my eighth Weekly Report for my beloved Squadron, the mighty Tempest! The Mighty Tempest, "The Riders on the Storm".

Ummm... isn't it curious? I feel as if, even given the fact that this report comes delayed for over a month, it contains the same amount of raw news as any other. It can only means something: *THIS* time, maybe only once so you better keep your eyes open, I'm reporting about things that concern us all, and not just plain bollocks I tend to collect and gather and make a report from them. USELESS INFO, may G0d bless it! Sadly, I was not the first to come up with such a nice idea as you can see HERE.

And here I am digressing yet again. Back to subject then, but how? How? FLs come and go, like Mr. Trow... the same for TCCOMs (and curse the rhyme)... competitions to come and punish ye all, for you're used to it and who is your poor poor CMDR to negate you a fun of that magnitude? Oh, yes, I almost forgot!

YES, you are gonna need to allow ActiveX crap if you actually want to take a look to this little piece of art by Lt. Commander Godo Nurok. You can find the full version at 450 x 450 on Tempest website. ;-)

Tempest Squadron is hereby known as the "TCCOM's Own", the best Squadron in the Fleet ('till next RtF at least)

Tempest Patch!
I.) A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse!! (aka. Squadron News)

Imperial mini-Logo Raise the Flag 2009 Lite is finally over. For two weeks the whole TIE Corps Fleet has been engaged in an odd lite and decaffeinated version of such an epic competition. And guess who have raised with the laurels of victory... Exactly! Batman wins! I mean... (*ejem*) Tempest Squadron, "The Riders on the Storm", have demonstrated once again they're simply... -beyond- Final scores are not ready yet at the moment I'm writing bollocks here, but we can rest assured that some TCCOM will confirm and make official our victory very soon. Either that or those SOViets finally decided to put all the booze they brought from the LadySOV into good use and we'll see the new TCCOM announcing them as winners. In this case we'll have no choice but to start blowing up things, as usual (I've heard nonsenses about diplomacy and good manners before but I preferred to think it was just some Ewok slave escaped from my 'Secret Destillery' to spread cowardice around. Hell! Whenever something pisses the Riders off they blow up stuff, it's somehow in some manual somewhere!).

But chances are this won't happen (all happyness coming from victory would be automatically screwed if you don't have alci to celebrate, and they're former SOViets, not retarded Rebels ;-P) and we will be able to see our names in the hall of fame on this, just the first of many victories to come for the new Tempest! Now we're able to hold with pride the title of "TCCOM's Own", which doesn't mean we have to play the whip and leather game with any Admiral, but more that we're recognized as the best Squadron in the whole Fleet for the time being.

It's exactly as you hear, gentlemen, we're the best until someone rises to defeat us (*IF* possible) on next RtF edition. Rejoyce, my Riders!! And drink as if there'd be no tomorrow!! General Domi has promised me he'll blame only on maintenance personnel for whatever mess we might cause under drunk senseless rage. ;-D

Imperial mini-Logo And yet another one to keep on with the party! Please forward your most sincere congrats to Colonel Nav'ric Trow, former Tempest 1-4, who has stepped up to be our new Flight III Leader (AT LAST it was made official by TCCOM!). To Nav'ric's health, long drunkenness to the leader of "Chaos Crew"!! Colonel Trow, you're called to mantain the excellent performance of your predecessor, Commander Vitaru, on that spot or even improve it as much as possible!

Lt. Commander Sergeyli (leave that blaster cannon alone dammit! >.-F) and Captain Alphafoxtrot! I give you two options: you either perform even better than your Flight Leader from now on and your CMDR allows all sorts of assassination attempts against the good old colonel, or you rather keep your activity below his and shut the hell up, accomplishing with your FM duties the best you can under his direct supervision. Your choice. ^_^

That's it, Nav'ric, my friend, if you manage to put those two bolts under your belt and try to do your best for your Flight AND your Squadron I promise you I'll do my best for your name to be remembered on Tempest Hall of Fame, not to mention your dress jacket "Hall of Metal". ;-)

Imperial mini-Logo /me grabs LCM Dunta Polo from the neck and Newtons start flowing from his arms to his FL's spine.

       - YES!!! YOU GOT IT, OK?!!! I'LL GIVE YOU A PARAGRAPH!!!! >:_D

Ecce homo (find yourself a good latin dictionary dammit!), there you have The Man®. Know ye all that Lt. Commander Dunta Polo here has been recognized by our esteemed Wing Commander as the Wing X Pilot of April '09 no less due to his extreme dedication and unparalleled efforts towards his Squadron in all sorts of aspects, including all those times when he covered me as aCMDR while I was wasting all my money on... on LoA, while I was on LoA; RL crap and whatnot you see... :_P. What else but a much deserved recognition for a job well done, way beyond well actually! Aaaaaaaand, he has been also named (the inhumanity!) Challenge Top Gun of the month, go figure (although I honestly think that if you get one of them it's prolly you'll get the other as well given the current activity situation).

On addition to that, as if it wouldn't be fair enough to get everybody around on their nerves, our exalted Flight II Leader has also earned his deserved title of Tempest Pilot of the Month. Enough yet? Of course not! He also got each and every Wing X PotW title available on April but then again, I'm pretty sure he did so to annoy everybody else. >;-P

Joking mode off, Dunta, you just ROCK! Following the well established tradition of excellent Cyclone/Tempest Flight Leaders I've been lucky to have under my command. Impressive, impressive I tell you. =)

Imperial mini-Logo Ok, enough with Tempest-only stuff. Now comes an important one, people. As you might have already heard, Fleet Admiral Jarek La'an has recently resigned as TCCOM after many months of hard work while he was driving the TIE Corps into the dawn of a new era following that "Doomsday" back in September '08. May you find your sanity back, Admiral! We'll be right here to steal it again if you ever decide to return to active duty!

/me rises his jar to drink to La'an's health but he ends broking it up on Dan Bonini's face.

Oooooops, sorry Dan. Didn't you see it coming? What if it would have been... let's say... a heavy rocket? You're gonna need some training there, my friend. ).->

<COL Dan> Tell me about again as soon as you check your Cuiviëdûr's navigation system... >.-|

       <LC Zós> ... ¬¬ mmmm ...

So far, Vice Admiral Viper Pred, former SOO under La'an, has been now appointed by the Fleet Commander himself as the new TIE Corps Commander! You might know good old Vip: former Wing VI WC and later SOV COM, let alone one of the most dedicated and compromised officers the TIE Corps has ever seen. I'm pretty sure we won't see anything but the best to the TIE Corps as a whole coming from such an officer!

You know the rest, gents: green light on blackmailing and bribes towards the Admiral! - "Let the Vip begin!" ^_^

Imperial mini-Logo Back to "Riders on the Storm" stuff. And what a better way to start moving on on Squadron activity than a couple of comps. to warm ourselves up and be ready for... more comps! ;-D

The first one, involving mainly good flying but also some fiction and drawing art was already approved by the DEAN before RtF, but so damned late that it wasn't possible to carry on with it without pressures. Well, I got DEAN's permission to delay it 'till RtF was over. Now RtF is over (RtFRtFRtFRtFRtFRtFRtFRtFRtFRtFRtF) and this little baby of mine is going to leave the oven (and take note that I don't tend to cook babies unless it's something important no matter how Wicked you may think I am!) in a matter of a few days, as soon as I get DEAN's approval on the new dates, so you better start tuning yerselves into flying mode because this one is important in order to demonstrate everybody why we are the best. Got it? >:-J

The second one will come after the first one (surprise!) but not from me but from Lt. Commander Polo, who was preparing it and collecting your opinions just before RtF started. I'll leave him complete freedom to come up with whatever he thinks is better and the final submission into the database will come from his own hand so stay tuned to whatever NUTness may we get. What a better way to train someone as future CMDR than to let him run his own comps? Hell! I'll ask for my ninth MoI just for this. >:_D

And of course we'll get our monthly classics: Tempest PotM and SotM plus more editions of "I think therefore I lose" on the Messageboards for Nav'ric and Clark to win and... well, you know the rest. =)

Imperial mini-Logo And finally, know ye all that our mighty Lady TACcy, together with COO Office personnel (those douches!), will soon start working on the Multiplayer sections of the new TC database so it's now a matter of a few weeks for all those pending LoCs and DFCs to be awarded and Combat Ratings to be revived, for the glory of Top Gun Brucmack and other nasty MP specimens. Therefore, let me encourage you to start involving yerselves in good MP activity. It's good for the body and mind; you can make fun on other people's weakness and human faults, plus you have shinies to reward each and every occassion you play the badass role reminding someone how n00b he is compared to your honed skills.

I won't lie you though; you first pass [MP/2] IWATS Course then [AMP] then train a little with some TC fellow pilots then go into Battlestats Weeks of War and get your arse obliterated up to a hundred times 'till you start getting better and better and finally you reach the point of badass I mentioned above. At least that's the classic way, and I couldn't escape from it myself so you better know what are you getting into as early as possible. But I can ASSURE you that it's worth all the pain! :-D

Don't lose this splendid opportunity on the MP side of the TIE Corps! For anything you want to ask on the subject, here I am as your broadcasting COOA (Combat Operations Officer Assistant, one of those douches I mentioned above ^_^) to answer them and help you on your training as much as possible.

( Spoilers?! Why me?... Ok, gentlemen, get those Imp-biased eyes of yours well open because this is worth the effort of delaying your nap at least another minute. This is what you get when you happen to find a -female partner- who actually loves you (or something) and are not careful enough to hide your military affiliations from her. Behold!!

0__0
Sincerely, this screws up the main purpose of such a space skirmish. Honestly: who would actually mind about the final result of that epic confrontation under THESE conditions?!
:__|

Besides, if you manage to get yerselves one of these gals you're indeed lucky. "- Great shot, kid, that was ONE IN A MILLION!" )

EH Logo
II.) On how to obliterate a starfighter with your knight lance® (aka. Squadron Status and On-going Competitions)

Imperial mini-Logo It's coming. It's almost here, among us, hiding in the dark... you can sense it but you cannot run from it. Soon it will be here to punish all slackers around, or at least those who don't reply to it in due time (the rest are safe :-P). AWOL CHECK!! Soon after this unforgivable compendium of bollocks is released into Wing X mailing list. Stay tuned because it's very important and I'm almost begging to spread senseless kicks here and there as time and overall lack of activity permits!!

Imperial mini-Logo Don't look know, but I've already sent Tempest MSE to our Wing Commander, so you can expect more shinies to come on days ahead. No wait... *I* can expect ALL shinies to come to me on days ahead; the only thing you can actually expect is to hate me forever because I only recced stuff for myself while all your reccs were for the Letter of Achievement (LoA) and I cannot even reccomend that one. ;_P

Hehehehe... these nerds won't ever notice I just copied the paragraph above from my last WSR due to the fact that there was a recently submitted MSE in both cases. >:-)

Imperial mini-Logo Yet another weekly Tempest website update, as usual. Don't forget to check the site often as one of your primary sources of useful information and bollocks of all kinds. All complaints are to be sent directly to Mr. Chuck Norris, widely known G0d of the Universe and creator of the roundhouse kick, with the subject: "Oh, ye magnificent and exalted Sir, please be kind enough to enlightening me on this subject: is it true that ye have but two face expressions and one of them is with beard?"

Imperial mini-Logo And here, gentlemen, you have the current status of our 2 ongoing monthly competitions! Problem is that you won't find it very useful given the fact that we're at May 30th and there's little you can do to change the upcoming results, but hey! I wouldn't just delete so many lines only to copy-paste them again on my next report... ^_^

Tempest Pilot of the Month - May '09

LCM Dunta Polo - 151 missions (some waiting HS approval) (and Tempest Pilot of the Week on... on... always? :-P)
COL Daniel Bonini - 30 missions
... pathetic ... last time I checked our Roster I'd swear I saw up to 8 pilots there not counting myself ...

Tempest Student of the Month - May '09

LCM Dunta Polo - 1 IWATS Course (not enough, my friend, you'd need at least another to achieve Tempest SotM :-/)

Imperial mini-Logo "TAC's citation hunt"? Errr... no since this competition is supposed to be finished long ago, but I decided to keep this here in order to keep you all updated on our progression when it comes to earn Battle Citations for the mighty Tempest. Now the thing is to make that big red number below to change as quickly as possible flying even Space Invaders if necessary! ;-) Oh, and if you are interested in a detailed list you have it at the end of this report, right below the Squadron Roster, merciless copied from HERE

Right now we've a total of 7 new Battle Citations since we started counting here. Not enough! Never enough!! And don't get me started on how happy I am after realizing the %$·€}[ number only got a miserable +1 since I released my last WSR about a month ago and with no less than a RtF of sorts in the middle... ~>.-F

II.a) Squadron Competitions

L Tempest Pilot of the Month - May '09
Details HERE
Feel free to send me pilotfiles as if there'd be no tomorrow and you might bore me to the point of me reccing a pointy IS-BW to beat you with it. A minimum of 10 missions for the weekly IS-BW and an absolut minimum of 40 for the monthly one. Not to mention the "Tempest Pilot of the Month" title, which you shall use with pride and caution if you don't want to get yourselves killed.

L Tempest Student of the Month - May '09
Details HERE
How was that thing your mom was yelling at you all day? Ah, yes... STUDY!!! Monthly IS-BR up for true swots out there! Already passed IWATS Courses count as long as you manage to beat your former score. And hey, extra IS-BR to whoever manages to get a 100% on any Course!

L Tempest Citations Fishing Contest
Details HERE
This is the already approved one I was talking about up there. Take a look if you want but please DON'T send any pilotfile nor any other submission 'till I get "green light" from DEAN so we can proceed by the book. But be ready, be very ready to fly as if there's no fate for ya!

II.b) Wing / Ship Competitions

L Wing X Pilot of the Week/Month
Details HERE
As usual, gents! Our almighty WC, General Domi, will award a bronze shinie in a weekly basis and a silver one per month to whoever demonstrates he's perfectly capable of making the rest of us looking as worse as possible. Fly missions, take IWATS, participate in other comps, drink... and well... drink. Everything counts! Especially to drink. :-D

L Challenge Top Gun
Details HERE
Similar to 'Wing X PotM' one, but this time as a flying-only. General Domi will backstab the one whose flight record dares to be the best on a given month with no less than an IS-SW. Interesting given that rumour someone has been spreading around that we're actually... PILOTS. Don't ya think? ;-)

II.c) Emperor's Hammer / TIE Corps / TC Battlegroups Competitions

Oh! Oh my good Lord!! But if I'm going to repeat some TC site info here. Please, have mercy!! :-P

L SP Ace of the TIE Corps, May 2009
Details HERE
Simple, pretty simple: fly as hell, make your CMDR's life miserable BSFing your stuff and earn medals for it. IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW for the 3 best ranking players at the Single Player Kill Board. What else do you need to fill your IDline with useless titles as myself? No MP division yet; maybe they're still fixing MP stuff at the new database. But don't panic, my bloodlusty subdits, for it will be there again sooner or later. >:-)

L TACcy Quotes
Details HERE
See, the TACcy tends to release a bunch of random chosen words making some sort of composition all together. And she calls this creature a "TAC Report". Read those "reports", find the movie quote lying there and e-mail FA Dempsey as quickly as you can with your answer! This competition has been running for many more months than I can remember so I think it will be run again no matter what, despite there's no database entry yet. Well, now as soon as you see a TAC report around you know what to do. ;-)

L TACcy Speed Test
Details HERE
Bi-weekly competition involving flying speed. XWA/XvT FREE mission to be announced on each TAC report for you to finish it up as quickly as you can. Fly on Easy, turn on ingame cheats, mind only about Primary Goals. Emulate the bloody Roadrunner! WHATEVER!!! But complete the mission in record time and send your pilotfile DIRECTLY TO TAC, NOT CMDR. IS-SW for those fast enough to lose their pants on their way plus IS-BW for whoever happens to fly faster than TAC herself (and steal her pants? no, don't think so... :-P).

H DJB's Inter-Club Training Event (Multiplayer!!)
Details HERE
Let's see... What would be the best way of dealing with our "new" Dark Jedi Brotherhood (DJB, former rDB) friends in order to show 'em our willing to cicatrize old injuries between our clubs? What about sending them all to hell via MP while punishing their prides by the book? >;-D All Saturdays 24/7 on Undernet #outerrim IRC channel!

The Tempest!

III.) NO!! Performances involving the infamous trio (beer-holoTV-chips) don't count for anyone but CMDR here!

  • No, he won't stop. Not 'till seeing his poor CMDR and Squadron comrades eating their keyboards in despair, for his e-mail activity knows no end!! And he's maybe the most active Wing X member on the EH MBs. All these absurdities crowned by his mantained presence on our IRC channels, at least once per day. 0__o

3-3 CPT Alphafoxtrot1    CPT   Low activity x 2

  • Awarded IS-SW as member of the winner Squadron (Tempest) on "Fire Demons vs. Storm Riders!" competition.
  • All I got from you since I was told you submitted your last FM report is some MB activity. Hell, Captain! We could do with some pilotfiles here and you know it to be truth. Please don't forget to report to your FL on a weekly basis and if you ever need something from me you know where I lurk.

IV.) Do it or DO IT. Don't even dare to try! (aka. Squadron Standing Orders)

  1. Fly AT LEAST a mission/battle from the Compendium!!! You're a pilot, not a wardrobe, and this is important!
  2. Take an IWATS. And if you actually learn something maybe you're doing miracles too! ;-D
  3. Fly some MP. Plenty of comps. to do it. If only you could feel The Power of the Pwnage Side©®!!
  4. Drink; as a truly Challengite this is a must to perform. If only you could feel The Power of the Daze Side of the Booze©®!!
  5. Participate in some competition if possible. Tempest is here to trample & impale any opposition hence our nickname!
  6. Contact your Flight Leader or Squadron Commander at least once a week!! This is BUT VERY important in order to mantain your arse within the roster. CMDR may well have the nasty mania of kicking mute people out of the airlock...
  7. Be always loyal to the TIE Corps Fleet, then the ISDII Challenge and Wing X, then Tempest.
  8. Kill any rebel scumb, dirty smuggler or pathetic pirate on sight and with a smile on your face. Cleaning 'da house!
  9. Have fun doing all this stated above! Now this one is a f****** order; if you don't accomplish with this one you're really doing nothing. Go away and make something better with your life like having a pathetic RL job, trying for your wife to not cheat you with a REAL PILOT... ahem...
  10. It would be sooo simetric and perfect for you to have a 10th order... but you haven't. :-P

Note on order 4: if you can't actually realize this IS NOT a RL way to go you should request transfer to the Redemption or something... ¬_¬

Rabid EwokZos THE NUTS Another Rabid Ewok

V.) Someone flew over the Ewok's Nest (aka. CMDR's Corner)

Onboard the mighty Sovereign-class Super Star Destroyer Sovereign (that goes for the imagination of whoever gave it either its class or its name), Flagship of The Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, things have been pretty quiet and slooooooooooooow since Wing VI was reassignated onboard the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Warrior (somebody from... *ejem*, the Science Office should remember to update the 'Fleet Order of Battle'). Now it floats above Aurora Prime, home world of the EH, like a BIG³ Easter Egg ready to provide doom and damnation as needed over anybody fool enough to oppose such a crazy dream of maybe the craziest fleet engineer ever (don't look at me, I couldn't design a flying balloon for the life of me! :-P).

Anyways, now the old LadySov serves as the main office and fun platform of the EH Command Staff except for a few nasty outsiders like the TACcy and SCO who rule in a different ship (mainly because they have the nasty mania of making their ship to blow up on a weekly basis). Today, Grand Admiral Cyric, Fleet Commander of The Emperor's Hammer, and Sector Admiral Maverick, his Executive Officer and main responsible of all assassination attempts to come (from the friendly side of course), play sabacc after having found the rules on a forgotten freaky site on the HoloNet.

<GA Cyric> I told you, Mav, I told you but you wouldn't hear: 0 - 'The Fool' and XV - 'The Devil' don't belong to this game and it's the third time you try to cheat me with them.

<SA Mav> Oh, come on, Sir. Nobody's gonna abandon this bridge 'till I recover MY credits and we both know that, don't we?

<GA Cyric> (*sigh*) Ok, next round. But don't get me started on where you can hide those two cards... ¬¬

Suddenly, their fair play gets interrupted by a loud beep coming from a nearby computer terminal. The XO approaches its main screen to take a look.

<GA Cyric> What's up? Lunch time already?

<SA Mav> By Brukhar's logs!!! It's our main sensors system! It seems a bunch of starfighters have just found their exit from hyperspace 5 clicks away from our defensive perimeter!

<GA Cyric> What the...?! What about our TIE patrols?

<SA Mav> -WHAT- TIE patrols, Sir? May I remind you Wing VI of the TIE Corps left us with only the shuttles and the tugs when they departed?

<GA Cyric> True story...

Both admirals come closer to look through the transparisteel viewport to try and see their "guests" on approaching vector. However, the Fleet Commander doesn't look worried at all. On the other hand, SA Maverick looks as if he would have come to know it was Mon Mothma who gave him birth...

<GA Cyric> Heh... those douches are gonna make a nice target for our unparalleled turbolaser hax I'd say. ^_^

<SA Mav> Errr... no, Sir. That won't happen. At least not until we manage to recruit a new crew for the batteries, unless you *really* want to use the automatic mode and risk the whole ship in case some doofus mounted any of them on the wrong side of the hull as it happened when...

<GA Cyric> Crap!! Are you telling me we can't even put a single shot into them before they can reach our shields?! 0__o

<SA Mav> Oh, well, we could aim ourselves and... besides, -WHAT- shields? It's hard to operate them properly with engineering as empty as the techs from Wing VI left it when they...

<GA Cyric> No way in hell!!! We have no tech?! Curse the trojans! Call in our Hammer Fist troop division!! Those morons are gonna hit our Hangars in a matter of minutes!

<SA Mav> Actually, I was gonna update you on just that. The thing is that all our soldiers, that's it, all of them who didn't follow Wing VI to the Warrior, requested permission to go back to Aurora for a while and left only the comm-number of a local Cantina on the surface and...

<GA Cyric> ... ... ...

<SA Mav> ... Look! They've just opened a comm channel with us!

<LC Zós> SSSD Sovereign! This is Tempest Squadron on approach. Open your main Hangar now so we can land there unless you want us to make our own way into the hull Chal-style.

<SA Mav> Zós!!!!! Curse you! What kind of stupid treason are you trying to pull out this time?! Turn back NOW and I'll spend the rest of my career trying to forget hundreds of reasons to execute you the worst way possible! ~>.-O If you dare to land a foot on our decks our stormtroopers will fall upon you and you'll regret the day when...

<Tempest in full> JUASJUASJUASJUASJUASJUAS!!! ROFLCOPTER!

<SA Mav> What the...? >.-F

<LC Zós> Don't try to cheat us, Sir. We perfectly know you and our esteemed Fleet Commander are all alone up there stuck on that flying monster. Therefore, and to carry on with this little theft... Surrender ALL your booze immediately! Resistance is futile, and you know it to be truth. >.-J

<SA Mav> This cannot be... :____D

The Executive Officer gets his head banged against the viewport by FC's rage. Again. And again. And again.

<GA Cyric> I don't know how, but at the end of this day I'll come up with some way for all THIS to be your fault, Mav. >.-(

<SA Mav> But, Sir... ^_^U

<GA Cyric> ... (*sigh*) Ok, Tempest. Feel free to land on Hangar 17, then come up here all of you and we'll get cold one after cold one 'till we are done with whatever alci Wing VI might have been kind enough to leave around. After that you'll be courtmarshalled and chances are for you to be executed before dinner. Until then, we'll drink together to old LadySov's health. ¬¬

<LC Zós> Three bags full, Grand Admiral, Sir!! :-D
