SQUADRON STATUS: Catching part of the wave of promotions
NEWS

The big news for Sin this week is Nolij's promotion to Captain! He started from Cadet back in May and now holds the rank I held when I first met him. Well done!

We have a new Strategic Operations Officer, VA Elwood the Brave! He's wasted no time and has a fleetwide competition already approved: TIE Corps on Patrol, more about that in the next section.

Warrior Trivia Season Two has begun, run by your fearless leader. Wouldn't mind seeing my own squadron give it a shot! Doesn't take long, and you'll make progress towards an award every time you play.

CPT Wondra's accumulated SC PvP screenshots brought him 40 LoCs in one feel swoop, which increased his combat rating several times to Veteran 4th and his FCHG rank to Paladin [PLDN]! Great work!

MAJ Wraith's LoCs this week pushed him into a new combat rating, Elite 4th! Nice job!
OPEN COMPETITIONS
The Competitions Center and Combat Center on the TIE Corps site can provide all the details for each competition. In my reports, I'll just be listing short summaries of each open competition that are open to Sin pilots. Also, I'm treating the two Ace of the TIE Corps competitions as a given, since they're always around.
  1. TIE Corps on Patrol: Weekly assignments of one free mission or battle for TIE, XvT, BoP, and XWA, highest scores win awards and there are participation awards as well! (Whole TC, 2689)

  2. Warrior Trivia Season Two: Five trivia questions a week in a Google Form, objective is to answer the questions as quickly as possible! (Wing II)

  3. Star Conflict Objectives: During SC PvP, make an effort to capture beacons, kill captains, etc. Each objective completed earns you a point, highest totals at the end of the month win awards! (Whole TC, 2687)

  4. TIE Corps Promotional Video Competition: Create a YouTube video advertising the TC! (Whole TC, 2686)

  5. COO Monthly Challenge: Highest kill amount (with assists counted as half a kill) in Team Battle or Domination missions wins a DFC! This is now automatically tracked from LoC submissions, no need to send a separate email. (Whole TC, 85)

  6. X-Wing Replay: This year, we're flying through the original missions in X-Wing! In January in February, fly TOD 1: A New Ally. Pilot file and screenshot of the debriefing screen should be sent to the TAC. High scores for the whole tour win awards! (Whole TC, 2664)

  7. TIE Fighter Replay: This year, we're also flying through the original missions in TIE Fighter! In February, fly Battle 2: The Sepan Civil War. Pilot file should be sent to the TAC. High scores for the whole battle win awards! (Whole TC, 2665)

  8. One Word Run-On: Over on the message board, we're doing a one-word-at-a-time story. Highest participation earns rewards! (Whole TC, 2637)
