2014 happened and is now receding into recent memory, all in all I think its safe to say we in Theta and the wider TC can look back on it positively. It's been a good period overall for this squadron despite some quiet months post-RTF, but our numbers are strong and we hold all the titles we have set out to take. Defending them may well prove more of a challenge, but that will hopefully be the tone of the coming year - proving and improving, rather than resting on our laurels. My intention with this report was to go over the previous year and pick out the highlights amidst the alcoholic fog of New Years Day, however I spent the last two days covering an injured colleague so any attempt at TC duty was rather undermined by RL duty. The MSE is going to follow this WSR which should cap and close the past year neatly, I'll be hoping to make some medal reccs on that basis rather than just the month of December but we'll see what the COM brings.

Speaking of our glorious leader I know that the promised competition for the wing will be with us very soon, from the little the CMDRs know it promises to be an interesting one and something of a non-standard format. Personally I''m looking forward to it as that little I known has had me laughing for an inordinately long time, I ask only that you give it your attention and participate where you can, when you can. Same message, different year, we're here to have fun - I'll enable it, but it comes down to each of you to step up and make it happen for the most part.

MSE medals from November reached my door in the last few days, so congratulations to those of you receiving MoCs, as well as Yoda for his ISM from the TAC for unspecified services rendered to the Tactical Officer - clearly even Admirals enjoy having someone to spend their spare time with and the occasional romantic dinner... Mark's trivia win in week 19 also saw him claim an IS-BR. Unfortunately your CMDR forgot the deadline for week 20 and missed out, no excuse when participation can take as little as 23 seconds!

Looking forward to the coming year I'm optimistic for the TC and our own section of it, the Warrior and its squadrons have made their mark and are going forwards which is a pleasure to see - too many of us can reel off closed ships, dead squads and missing comrades so this is a big positive for us all. I'm keen to set some targets for myself and have already started to chase them, I noted by chance that I'm now a Tesserarius and Ace 1st which is a pleasant surprise but entirely due to Star Conflict - I'd resigned myself to being an XWA only guy but the lease of life from MP has been refreshing. I'll hopefully reach Top Ace 4th in the next week once I scrape 3 LoCs from SC to add to the others pending. What other objectives can I realistically set becomes the question, having occupied a number of command and CS positions in my varied and poorly documented history there are gaps in my medal tally I'm keen to address, so look to see efforts made there, as well as a continued ambition to reach GN. Should Frown ever be resigned to the void I'd love to be a WC one again, but that is another objective entirely out of my control. Nonetheless it's these ambitions or objectives that drive me to fly and continue here, I'd recommend you all take the chance to look at what you really want to achieve and see just how easy it may be to reach.

Thetan Aces ongoing, no submissions as yet so no awards – as it stands I'll be claiming the first medal of the competition unless someone outflies my MP count (8) by this time tomorrow evening. Please feel free to do so!

Operational Picture

...Unusually quiet, almost feels like they're planning something. You know, THEM, the higher ups, grand fromages, lords and masters, toffs and nobs - the WC is looking shifty, but he might just have that eye infection again from the err, ship's mascot we're supposed to call it now? Ha... Mind you I haven't seen the Commodore around, is he still on leave? I know his Flag Captain sticks to the bridge and avoids the fighter types, but I'm surprised we haven't seen the HA down here reminiscing about that pile of scrap he used to fly off, what was it called again... Black Dog... White Snake... ah it's unimportant - last I heard it's rotting in dock somwhere short of parts and crew, might as well turn it into a prison hulk or a target ain't that right GNs? Pell? Yods? What did I say?...

…I'm pleased to note you're all largely here, although it's become apparent that MAJ Nebular may be lost to us for reasons unclear. Reading the statements from the Auroran security forces working with the Naval Provosts it's clear he landed on-planet but since then??? There have been sightings of a man matching his description in the outlying subs of the capital, but nothing for certain and I know he occasionally disappears on what can only be described as "excursions" because we can never find the bodies or evidence. For now we're not considering him missing as he has 4 weeks of backed up leave to take, but before this gets ridiculous we'll be making our own investigations to track him down. Just keep the WC out of the loop if you can…
