Good morning all. Or good afternoon. Or good evening. Or good night. Or good day. Or Hello. Or bienvenue. Or Konichawa. Whatever floats
your boat :)
It's seems I've spent a few hours too much in the Hammer's cantina lately, as I was informed my AWOL request last week was denied because
that pilot had already been AWOLed by my request two weeks earlier. I also noticed I was still referring to myself as COL Dempsey, and
I'm rather quite upset no one let me know this. Note that I may be a Sith, I am no Darth vader and will not kill underlings on a whimsy.
Unless it's a Sunday. Or Halloween. Or a full moon. Or a solar eclipse. Or when I've had too much time in the cantina.
Well, onto things. As the month of October has endeth, so have several monthly competitions. The MP and SP Aces have been decided (grats
to GN Polo and myself, but especially to GN Polo for defeating MAJ Cruise!). Other monthly competitions
to end are Hammer on Patrol (once again won by me) and Hammer on Recon (won by
CPT Cruise - seems our COM demoted the poor Major for his victory) as well as the Hammer Pilot of the Month
(won by yours truly). The COM has also ended his leave, and so the Hammer on patrol competition for the past
two weeks is also done. I've seen highscores for myself in both the TIE and XvT missions, a battle high score for me, and a mission
high score for MAJ Clark. Excellent work!
On a squadron level, we have the end of the October part of the Delta's Top Ace
competition (grats to MAJ Clark for winning that one) and since that was a 3-month thing, the overall winner
has also been decided! I can't wait to see what next month brings.
TIE Golf is almost done, with round 3 ending last Saturday. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish the mission
as I wanted too, and I was defeated my HA Frodo. Still, I also received an e-mail that I did indeed get a joint victory with the lowest hole
score in week 2, so that's nice. Next week I won't be up against HA Frodo, as one of the competitors appears to have been disqualified. As
such, this week I will have to win against LC Impulse.
I would like to focus the attention of all my pilots on the COM's
Hammer Training Exercise #1
competition, pitting the four Hammer squadrons against each other in all out wargames. There's single player and multiplayer flying, as well as
fiction going on, so I expect everyone to represent this squadron to the best of their abilities! See the COM's report or the website for an
accurate description!
Delta's MSE will be handed in shortly, let's see who will earn himself another merit medal this time. I feel there won't be as many as I would
like, but that's what you get when half the squadron barely shows any activity at all. And that includes neglecting to answer emails directly
sent to your inboxes, folks!
Other important news: I'll be taking a short leave starting next Friday and ending the Friday that follows. As such, all pilotfiles should be
sent directly to the COM with myself CCed. Any and all activity for his new competition should be sent to him anyway. I also won't be manually
approving any pilotfiles. If any pilotfiles get stuck, they will be processed on the 14th or 15th. As a result, I will also not be issuing a
Weekly Report next week, and as such my next report will be out on the 16th.
Probably the biggest news this week was the release of several of the LA Space Sim games on GoG. If you don't have the games or cannot get them
installed, they are being sold now as an installation package for a lot less than I pad for them way back in the old days. Here's your chance!
With that said, I'll be closing this section of the report. Until next week, my pilots!
