IN THE NEWS
The roster is down fourteen since my last report, reflecting a fairly large net loss. We’ve brought on a few new pilots and had some veterans return, but more have made their way to the Reserves and Inactive status lately.
The fifth iteration of Imperial Storm, Assurian Halo, ended earlier today with the TIE Corps arriving at the Ishtari homeworld... just in time for the event to end. Still, we have a conclusion to the Ishtari story and we’ll be working though feedback about the event for the next little while.
Elite Dangerous is now a primary game in the TIE Corps, the second non-Star Wars game on that list. The COO Manual has been updated with a list of game modes and what we need in terms of screenshot submissions for the game. A number of TC pilots had been enjoying the game while it was on the secondary game list, so it didn’t take long for a proposal to come in about making it primary. It definitely fits alongside the other games in our lineup, so I think it’s a good addition and hopefully pilots will give it a spin and enjoy it.
The Pilot Manual is now available in the Wiki and its PDF version has been discontinued. This’ll make it a lot easier to update and I’ve actually made a few tweaks already mostly involving the BGCOM position.
IN THE WORKS
Speaking of the Pilot Manual, I’ll be adding to its section about the Articles of War and creating a section about the Code of Conduct. For the AoW, incidents should be reported through the chain of command with the FC being reached out to directly if a pilot feels like their report through the chain of command wasn’t handled satisfactorily (after enough time to conclude that, naturally). CoC violations in progress should be reported through a ping of the @Admirals role in Discord. For anything happening outside of Discord or without a sense of urgency, CoC reports go to the COMM. While both documents name and describe types of bad behavior, we’d prefer for pilots making a report to focus on telling us what happened and providing supporting evidence as opposed to identifying individual charges.
REMINDERS
If you’ve got feedback for anything happening in the Corps, the best way to address that is through the chain of command. For anything that can resolved by a CMDR or BGCOM, I feel strongly that they should have a chance to do that. For anything that needs to be brought up to the TCCS, it’ll often be clarified and fleshed out along the way which makes it easier to discuss and act on.
