Gentle-beings, I have assembled you here for a special mission briefing. The TIE Corps are at war with the Ishtari. We call this campaign the Imperial Storm 5.

We do not know much about the Ishtari, yet. What we do know is that they are a insectoid species and our command is expecting us to crush them. I personally enjoy my bugs deep fried and crunchy. But if we are to crush them – well, let's make pudding.

The full force of the TC fleet has entered a sector controlled by the Ishtaris ... redacted. Pilots, this channel is not secure. I will communicate these details via email.

The campaign is devided into two stages. In stage one we are decimating the Ishtari fleet in the outer ring of the sector (gray). We will liberate as many occupied planetary systems (red hexagons) along the way as possible. In stage two we will enter the core (orange.) in which we expect the Ishtari homeworld. Our ultimate goal is to destroy their fleet and desolate their homeworld so they will not continue to pose a threat in the future.

Resources
  • The exact game mechanics are explained in in the wiki and in this PDF
  • The overall story arc unfolds on the Imperial-News-Network
  • The combined forces effort of the TC is coordinated in the IS5-War-Room
  • Furthermore, each battlegroup has their own command structure. In BG2 we have chosen to aid our team captain CPT Jet Mech in the decision making process by discussing strategies in the RtF-is-ReMob channel
Orders

While I know you think you're being paid to lead and not to read, please consult above mentioned resources and stay on top of the current development in these Discord channels. It is a bit of reading effort, but it will be worthwhile. We, the TC are fighting in a combined effort against a common enemy, the Ishtari. We are not competing with the other BGs.

Contrary to Raise the Flag (RtF), which is an all-out spam fest (fly as much as you possibly can), IS is a strategy game. Our submissions, whether it be SP, PvE or PvP, only count towards the outcome of the war effort in any 48h time window while we actually engage the enemy. While I do not encourage you to hold back submissions for any enemy encounters (hording is against TC rules), maybe you can arrange to spend your downtime with your families while fighting even harder when push comes to shove. Unfortunately, battle events will occur when they occur and therefore cannot be planned for. This is the price we pay as pilots of the Empire. In the meantime, do not be shy and contribute to our strategy in the RtF-is-ReMob channel.
For SP, specific free missions will be assigned to the BG by the gamemaster during conflict periods.

There are side competitions! You can write fiction. And I am currently trying to get competition approved to illustrate star systems that we encounter as per the descriptions on the Imperial-News-Network.

andr3 out.

In Closing

My door is always open to all of you. If you need any help, guidance or just direction for some activities then please don’t hesitate to contact me on Discord or by email. If you’re online and gaming, drop in to one of our voice channels for visibility. You never know, you might end up flying with some fellow Sinners or other members of the Corps.

For Sin!

MAJ andr3

The old ones say we Sinners are descended from the Emperor himself. From the time a Sinner could fly, they were baptized in the fire of combat. Taught never to retreat, never to surrender. Taught that death on the battlefield in service to the Empire was the greatest glory they could achieve.
