Yes, my fellow pilots - the moment has finally arrived - the moment most of us have been eagerly waiting for for a very long time -
the return of our very own TIE CORPS WEBSITE.
Here's hoping the improvements the site brings will generate a little more incentive. First of all, the wonderous HTML
medal emails have returned / something actually worth keeping when you are awarded a merit medal. If only my MoH
could have been delivered in this way....
It will take some time to get used to your TC PINs again (why those were ever changed is beyond me), and I'll
have to get used to my new PIN for all Commander stuff, but I can live with that, I hope you can too!
Now, onto more issues - first off, I would like to congratulate CM Shado Fenn - after many many attempts he has
finally grabbed himself a victopry in the trivia! Excellent job leaving the others behind you!
This month is memorable for several reasons already. Firstly, as
mentioned above, the return of our site. But even more importantly, a rarity has occurred. As you know, monthly activities are evaluated and
recognized through the awarding of a Palpatine Crescent or an Imperial Security Medal.
And while the Squadron Commander is more likely to receive a higher medal (the Bronze Star of the Empire for
example), it is very rare that these be awarded to the flight members of a squadron.
This month, not one, but two pilots were awarded a Bronze Star of the Empire for
their activities, a very rare occurence indeed, and as such worthy of the praise it deserves. So Congrats to you, Kyle
Kroan, and congrats to you, John T. Clark, for bagging yourself a Bronze Star! It makes my PC pale in
comparison :)
Lastly this week - there is a few more days left on the Dempsey's Anniversary Bash competitions. All submissions
for week 5 should be on my desk no later than october 8, which marks the anniversary of my 1-year commandership
of this fine squadron!
So, let's get to your cockpits and start flying!

Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources Officer asks a young engineer fresh out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, "And what starting salary are you looking for?"
The engineer replies, "In the region of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."
The interviewer inquires, "Well, what would you say to a package of five weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a
company car leased every two years, say, a red Corvette?"
The engineer sits up straight and says, "Wow! Are you kidding?"
The interviewer replies, "Yeah, but you started it."
