Squadron News

After a gruelling race, Raise the Flag is at an end. We managed a great, sweeping victory. With the Hammer hitting its primary goal of 69420 points and then going on to break the 70k barrier! We've also been able to win at the squadron level, taking 1st place as Lambda! Shoutout to Gamma and Thunder who came 2nd and 3rd respectively, as well as Rho for being the top squadron from the Warrior.

As Lambda we had a great showing with 10/12 pilots putting points up. In particular, Genie claimed 1st place with Gytheran a very close second place. They were so close that we had to wait until the final art and fiction pieces were graded before a winner was determined. Ranger claimed 4th place after a brutal sprint to the finish with Robert Hogan. Wolve took 17th after dominating the single player scene and Solohan secured 19th by exploring Star Conflict. Wookie had a strong showing with 22nd place while Calvin and Merlin took 51st and 52nd respectively.

The RtF performance was also reflected in the monthly Emperor's Hammer killboards. Wolve topped the SP Charts with 824 missions flown. In the PvP Multiplayer front, Ranger managed 3rd place in a closely contested race with Gytheran getting 5th, Genie 6th, Solohan 8th, and Wookie rounding things off with 10th place. Lastly, in Multiplayer PvE, Gytheran and Genie pulled a 1-2 for Lambda with Gytheran in 1st place. Ranger and Solo took 9th and 11th respectively.

RedBaron has transferred to the Reserves after being in Lambda for more than a year. A formidable dogfight pilot. I hope to see him return to active duty soon! By the same token, I am happy to announce a new Lambda member, Galen "Spartan" Kirek. He has already lit up the discord chat and the Imperial University! Big congratulations to Wolve for getting his 21st Echelon Wings! It has been a long road! Wolve continues his SP journey as he attempts to complete all the custom battles! Backdated from October, congratulation to Solohan for his promotion to Major! Finally, congratulations to Genie for making it to General. GG! Next stop, Cadet!

Tip of the Month: In Battlefront2 PvE, try to always camp the spawn points where possible. It allows you to AOE most of the AI before they spread.

Additional Tip of the Month: Avoid playing Star Conflict PvP. Going forward I will use SC PvP as an "interview question". Play ten games of SC PvP and I shall observe the different emotional states you go through, especially when playing Detonation.

There are various competitions held by several EH pilots. Currently in the spotlight, we have the following competitions:

• Squadrons Feats of Strength I: Fly solo vs the AI, in Squadrons Fleetbattles. Do you have what it takes? Organized by Genie.
• Motto & Nickname for Battlegroup Hammer: With our organization changing to cater for Battlegroups, what better way to celebrate than to come up with an appropriate Motto and Nickname for the Hammer Battlegroup! Organized by Phoenix Berkana.
• Helmet Design for Lambda: Create your own custom Helmet! Organized by Black Ranger.
• Design the Ship and Squadron Mascots: Each Squadron have their own designated mascot! Here is your chance to design it! Organized by Genie.

Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Lambdas, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under "Units Involved" it must be listed as "Entire TC", "ISD-II Hammer", "Wing I" or "Lambda Squadron".

Closing Comments

We really wanted to win RtF this year and we achieved that with flying colours. As we look forward, we set our sights on TCIB with 2 months left to go!

At a personal level, my focus (after the Golden Gonks) now returns to continuing the work on the TIE Fighter custom battles I am making.
