Squadron News

This report will cover the news of both June and July. A follow-up report though will showcase the squadron activity for July.

Squadron Remobilization was a bit tougher this year, but we did it! 8/8 tasks thanks to no less than eight of our pilots. CPT Solohan, CPT DemWookieeCheeks, CM Wolve Excelsior Berkana, CPT TheBlackxRanger, LCM Aisling, CM Elwood "Merlin" Wells and LCM Calvin Phrick! Now, before you count the pilots and point out those are only seven pilots, just remember to add Genie also to the list. :)

Just like last year, it was a bonding experience for our squadron and a chance to warm up some of our competitive juices! It was great also to see several other squadrons battling it out with the tasks, which were not easy. Special shoutout to Tempest for also making it 8/8.

The Chalquila Cup 2 is officially over. After this report we shall process the winners and make the relevant announcements in the CC2 discord channel.

Currently running a fleet-wide difficult competition that will challenge your piloting skills and your smarts. Squadrons Feats of Strength I, fly solo vs the AI, in SW Squadron Fleetbattles. This is harder than it sounds. Do you have what it takes? Unlimited attempts. KeblaOmega is setting the pace at the moment.

In the monthly Emperor's Hammer killboards, Single Player saw one of our own Wolve, claim 1st place with Genie securing 4th. While in the Multiplayer there was a Lambda top-4 placement, with Ranger claiming 1st place, Wolve in 2nd, Wookiee in 3rd and Genie in 4th. Last but not least, in the PvE, Genie managed 3rd place with Wolve in 4th and Solohan on 7th, giving an all-round great representation from Lambda squadron for June.

Congratulations to Commander Wolve Excelsior Berkana, for his promotion to the rank of Commander! Well-deserved, with some superb flying over these past few months.

Big welcome to our two "new" pilots, CPT BlackxRanger and CPT "Pops" Gytheran. Both are veterans of the TIE Corps and their presence will definitely strengthen our squadron. Behind Ranger's black helmet, lies a Zabrak, while joining the ranks of halfling troublemakers is Gytheran the Jawa! Now Solohan will have a partner in crime.

Creative Corner

New Lambda Squadron Fighters Unveiling

Admiral Phoenix Berkana walked towards the new fighters, all of them wrapped with ceremonial ribbons. He took a pair of big scissors and cut the ribbon of the first TIE Punisher. Lambda had already christened its new fighters, .

Flight I, the Lambda Class "Crash Lander" Shuttle, equipped with iceboxes full of yogurt, zucquila, and other refreshments.

Flight III, the TIE "Hangar Engineers" Punisher.

As the unveiling ended, you could see the engineers were already working on Solohan's TIE Punisher, reinforcing its structure to withstand his... landings, while a new reinforced wall had been installed on the ISDII Hammer.

Competitions and Events

Highlighted Competitions:

There are various competitions held by several EH pilots. Currently in the spotlight, we have the following competitions:

• Squadrons Feats of Strength I: Fly solo vs the AI, in Squadrons Fleetbattles. Do you have what it takes? Organized by Genie.
• The Challenge with Words: At the beginning of every month, Marenta will generate a word search and post the link.
• Hammer: Crewmans Log: Each Monday (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd) a prompt will be released around which you can write up a short fiction from the point of view of a member of the Hammers crew, organized by Phoenix Berkana.

Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Lambdas, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under "Units Involved" it must be listed as "Entire TC", "ISD-II Hammer", "Wing I" or "Lambda Squadron".

Closing Comments

I have restarted work on my custom battles. The battles are done on TIE Fighter. In the future I may convert them or continue the story to TFTC. I am also adding voice-overs, if you are interested in lending your voice, give me a shout! In addition, if you would like to play-test these battles on either easy or medium or hard, let me know. I can use the feedback.
