Oil, sweat, and smoke plumed out in an invisible cloud of smells as SirCaleb entered the Eagle Command Office. It was strangely quiet compared to the Hangar on the Challenge. Having just been appointed as a Flight Leader, the Squadron CO and XO are called by Admiral Silwar for a deep infiltration reconnaissance mission almost right away. He had just received the news and had been busy working on a modification to his X-Wing. Naturally, they were not allowed to disclose any more information than that, and the official word to the rest of the Squadron was that they were going to a Squad Leadership Summit. It was clear that Graf's side of the office was meticulously organized and clean. Cupcakes section, while of course was more cluttered due to moving in and still settling to his new position, it was still clean. However, some of it would have to be a little shuffled so that SirCaleb can get all of the requisition forms and try and learn very quickly all of the duties and responsibilities that go along with Squad Command.

Fortunately, this is only temporary. But until then, the daunting task of learning to run this is now on me. In the meantime, maybe I should start with coffee.

Looking around, he found a data pad in which he can start looking at the roster and begin assignments. A new pilot had just arrived on the Challenge as a new member of Eagle Squadron. SL Orcis Mitocon had graduated with stellar marks from the Academy.

Excellent, another pilot can really help on the patrol rotation.

Given that SL Orcis had not yet flown with Eagle yet, it seemed to him a good idea to do an exercise in which Eagle flew in some sorties in the simulators. Squadron synergy is tantamount to success in real mission circumstances, and simulator would be a great way for the Squadron to welcome the new addition, as well as begin to learn each other's idiosyncratic differences.

Let's see what you're made of SL Orcis. Perhaps I could contact LC Honsou to see if they would like to participate as a Squadron vs Squadron excursion?

Well Eagle, you already all know by now that Graf and Cupcake are going to be absent for a couple more weeks. Until then, I have been asked to take charge of the Squad until they return. Please understand, they are coming back and things will return to normal. I am available via discord should anybody need anything! Things have a been a little quiet in the Squadron as of late.
