NEWS/STORY BLURB |

|
With an empty queue and new
combat events put into place, the Combat Operations Officer was
nestled into one of the simulator pods on the VSDII Aggressor.
Today though was not a trial in a TIE or even a starfighter. On
a Coruscant-like simulated planet randomly named 'Earth', he was
going through the process of having his F-14B Tomcat
fighter/bomber hooked up to the number two catapult on the
aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln.
As
the yellow shirted 'shooter' gave the thumbs up signal, along
with the green shirted ground crew, a man inside of the small,
shielded catapult control centre for Cats 1 and 2 began the
sequence.
Just
as the sequence began, another F-14 zoomed by the vulpine's from
above, doing a dangerous low pass at full afterburner. The
vulpinroid reflexively jerked in his seat mid coffee-sip as the
voice of Colonel Stryker cut into his intercom.
"THIS
GUY!" The COO exclaimed with a soft laugh.
"Miles,
Miles, this is called Amateur Hour in the F-14B, I don't know
what you were expecting." Stryker replied.

Approval
Criteria:
At
least 1 kill or 1 objective with a winning match. You may submit
a 0 kill scoresheet so long as your scoreboard matches up
accordingly. For Star Wars Squadrons you must have at a minimum
200 score to be considered productive
Modifiers
for Squadrons are to either be pre-checked with the COO/COOAs
or conform to posted accepted presets (3PO League, etc.)
For
matches involving multiple EH pilots on the winning team, they
must be defined in match report and also must be in a scoreboard
screenshot.
Custom missions must have a screenshot containing posted modifiers. Match
reports must be made no more than 72 hours
after completion unless special dispensation is given by the COO
Star Conflict players must be a member of the EH corporation displaying our tags for credit. OFFICER ROSTER (Star Conflict) LC

Upcoming Tasks
Combat Operations Exam Rewrite:
As the Combat Operations Manual on the Wiki as well as
platform changes/updates has essentially rendered the material
in the previous Combat Operations Exam obsolete, the COO is
tasked with writing a new COE for submission. This process
will involve the development of questions in the domains of
"General Operations", "Platform Standards" & "Submission
Processing".
Current Status: Gathering example materials/scoreboards for Platform Standards & Submission Processing domains. (COO) Combat Operations Manual
Updates: Improvement of the Combat Ops Manual on the Wiki to
address quality issues.
Current Status: Evaluation and
rewriting (COO)
Awards for Outgoing COOAs: As VA
Silwar Naiilo has resigned as COOA and LC Taygetta has went to
the reserves, their COOA activities are being tallied for an
appropriate end of career award. Thank you both for the work
you've done for this office. COOAs are the unsung heroes of
the unit and personnel that I see as equal partners.
