ISD WARRIOR REPORT #2

REPORTING OFFICER: Vice Admiral Marenta Jean
DATE SUBMITTED: 22 May 2022

COMMODORE'S LOG

Day 39 - Murder and other Wetwork

We are nearing the last leg of Imperial Storm 4, and I know that the last handful of turns will result in neverending battles. My pilots are bloodthirsty and looking to end the games on a strong finish. I have the upmost confidence in their abilities, but I am ready to put an end to these games and get back to patrol.

Day 44 - Hard-fought

We did it. We won Imperial Storm 4 with a last-minute sweep of a number of planets and created a point buffer that neither the Challenge or Hammer cound come back from. Truthfully, none of this would have been remotely possible without the support of my Warriors. Our strategy shifted a few times over the course of the games, but we were able to use our planning and deliberation to effect victory. I have put in another requisition for Chalquilla for the party, but I believe that I may be stonewalled in its appropriation.

Day 51 - Cantankerous

I have met all of the protocol droids that my pilots recommended to me, and I am baffled by their suggestions. Apparently, I am in need of an older, should-be-decomissioned, grumpy droid with malfunctions disguised as features. Who knew? The only outlier--and I use that term sparingly--is a droid of questionable make who can appear to be anyone, and mimick those individuals flawlessly. I did NOT need to see General Frown, who was actually CAM-9, upon exiting the lavatory on the first day on the job. Questioning the routine mental fitness checkups done on the crew.

Day 58 - Paperwork makes the Fleet Go

After my temporary leave for the previous week, I have decided to catch up on paperwork. While it's certainly not as much as it would have been over MSEs, it certainly isn't a small amount. Some competition stuff, some announcements, and this report, nothing world-destroying, but certainly important to maintain an orderly fleet.

FROM THE DESK OF THE COMMODORE

Deep breath in. Hold it. And, release.

Imperial Storm 4 is over, and we pulled out the Win. I cannot overstate how proud I am of everyone on the Warrior who gave feedback, pushed, and fought over the course of the month-long competition to get us to the top. I know that my "Humble in victory" attitude may not have been the most keenly received, but don't think that because I didn't scream to the hangar bay ceilings that the Warrior is the best ship (because it is) after the win doesn't mean that every single one of my pilots doesn't deserve the biggest, loudest, and craziest of celebrations for being victorious against two very strong-minded, and competitive teams. Bravo Zulu!

There have been some moves around the ship, but the biggest is that CM Vapin Vanman has been selected as Theta CMDR. He moves from Rho, where he served as FL and SQXO. GN Pete Mitchell will remain in Theta and assist CM Vapin Vanman until he gets a solid foothold on the position and has a stalwart lead the squadron. I want to thank GN Pete Mitchell for his time as CMDR of Theta, and for remaining in the squadron to lend his historical knowledge to Theta and the Warrior as a whole.

Some follow-up information in regards to the 4th flight in the squadrons: I am going to be pinging the CMDRs about their feedback more extensively in the next week or so. I'll collate that information with what I've seen and my thoughts and relay that to the TCCS for discussion and consideration.

I still want to work on training across the Warrior. And, while it appears that the Discord Stages doesn't permit screensharing for presenters, it is something that they're working on adding as a feature in the future. That being said, I'd like to get all of my SLs up to LT and then nudge my LTs into taking TCCORE so they can hop to LCM when they meet the other prerequisites. If anyone takes an Imperial University course and they notice any odd or off information, make a note of it, because there will more than likely a review of many of the courses in the upcoming months. Also, if there is interest in still having guided coursework for the TCCORE and SM/5 exams, let me know and I will make it a regular occurrence in our Training Room Voice Chat.

I created a Role Playing room, and accompanying out-of-character room for RP, on the Discord server. I think, in order to get credit for it on Monthly Evals would be to package everything up (in a congruent story(ies)) and send it to your CMDR. Otherwise, feel free to go nuts in there!

Now that I have a protocol droid, expect to have some competitions come out that encourage more administrative activity. Announcements will follow.

WARRIOR FUTURE ACTIVITY

Upcoming activity:

Now that there are more protocol droids running around, and a few competitions are already going, I'm going to be starting a few more administrative-ish competitions. Once those are complete, then I'm going to be doing some gameplay competitions. Also, on the horizon, is Squadron (Re)Mobilization which is a squadron-internal competition where the whole squadron competes against itself to hit benchmarks for a whole series of things. The point of (Re)Mob is to encourage activity and get people participating for the span of time to complete the tasks, which will allow the squadrons to change ships on the Order Of Battle (OOB) and set new missions/goals/mottoes.

WARRIOR COMPETITIONS

There is only one Warrior-specific competition going:

Signal Scramble Infection
I purloined my ship from Inferno Squadron, and unfortunately, it has a leftover bug in the communications. Every 2 weeks the pilots will be asked to decipher the code and the most likely candidates will be voted on. You can read more here!

There are a handful of EH-wide competitions ongoing!

SP, MP, and Co-Op Ace of the TIE Corps 2022
Theses are ongoing month-to-month scoreboard competitions. All you have to do is play games and you're automatically entered! Link to the competitions center for all three competitions is here.

TIE Fighter Total Conversion - Reimagined
A competition sponsored by the TAC, FA Pickled Yoda, that requires pilots to fly the TFTC - Reimagined campaign. You can participate by turning in high scores from the missions, running through fastest times, writing reviews and impressions, and finally graphics from the game showing points of particular interest. Read the competition specifics here.

Legion's Challenging Time Trials Season 3
The gist is to kill LegionX 3 times super fast. That's not a hardship! Consider giving it a shot! Find everything here.

The Challenge with Words
Every month I will release a word search. This time it will be run on the timed test feature on the site, so you're no longer having to be the first to complete it, just be fast! Read up, here.

CLOSING COMMENTS

Remember, my DMs/email are always open to anybody. Also, make sure you look for Squadron-specific competitions for extra activities if you're thirsting for something to do!
